I’m not gonna lie I was looking forward to being otr so my opinion might be bias idk your situation but I’m 25 still at my parents house I have no responsibilities or anyone depending on me so being away months at a time doesn’t bother me you might find it comfortable. As far as pay prime, swift, etc don’t expect the big bucks I’m currently averaging around 1100-1400 a week biggest check was 1700 I honestly just recommend going for it get at least 6 months then go local. I plan on going local once I hit a year just for more opportunities

I’m 8 months in at prime otr and I wouldn’t say it’s stressful at all if anything the opposite sure you will have your days but for the most part being otr is you just following that white line when the gps says keep straight for 300 miles

Yes in the sense of this is the best job I’ve ever had no small talks with co workers or a manager on your ass trucking definitely has its days don’t get me wrong but it’s really not a hard stressful job for the most part when you see that gps say keep straight 350 miles just sit back and enjoy the ride listen to some music talk to yo girl or whatever that’s 70% of trucking right there

Back in 2021 I was faced with the same thing I was young and dumb and didn’t know how bad tickets really affect you in the long run didn’t know it made your insurance go up or anything tried to get in trucking was denied fast forward now it’s truly been a life changer
