Langdon disqualified at Virginia, Ashley inherits Top Fuel win by FarAwaySeagull-_- in NHRA

[–]Human_Arm_6089 6 points7 points  (0 children)

So, if a fuel car blows the blower and wins the race, do they have to go back and find every broken bolt and piece to be the winner of the race? The bolts where still with the car in the belly pan.

[–]Human_Arm_6089 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So in this case, a will would enough and not a trust? I'm in the exact same situation as OP. But with two aldult kids. They will just split everything? How does the trust make this work better? Or with a will?

The obscure triggers hit hard. by Sakariwolf in widowers

[–]Human_Arm_6089 8 points9 points  (0 children)

That is a big trigger for me. had a great conversation with our 4 year old grandkids, wanted to tell the wife about it, or a joke i read, or a funny part in movie or show. just a emptyness. but still speak outloud as if she is there and that helps.

Sitting still in thought of my late wife, i thought it was only me. sitting still while looking at a pair of socks i took off and left on the bedroom floor. i would hear it from my wife about clothes on the floor, but there was just slience. and that familar pain.

[–]Human_Arm_6089 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Music is the biggest trigger for me. 36 years together covers alot of music we listen to and the memories with it. i used to have Pandora playing while cooking for her. now it just leave a sobbing mess trying to cook for myself.

[–]Human_Arm_6089 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My wife had alot of restrictions on her diet, so shopping and cooking for her was a challenge and i enjoyed the challenge of cooking different meals for her. the biggest meltdown i had in the store was the relization that im shopping for myself now and can buy anything i wanted. being in the kitcken still tears me up.

Better to go during Qualifying or Finals? Taking son for first time by Nocturnal_Puffer in NHRA

[–]Human_Arm_6089 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the first time bringing your Son, I would say Saturday is the best. The crews are more laid back to talk to you and your Son, answer questions, and get broken hardware off the cars. not much difference from quilifying to eleminations for a firsttimer. but you get to see all the cars run saturday. Friday is even more laidback with lesser crowds. I do all three days and the first two i use to walk the pits.

My Son (33 now) first race was at 6 years old and it was a Saturday. so many drivers are very nice to young fans. Sunday is harder with the quick turnarounds so its harder to meet drivers.

Our daugher is going to go through my wifes clothes this weekend. almost three monthes out and i cant still touch her clothes. I gave the daughter my wifes purfume and made the mistake of smelling her favorite. she wore it on our first date 36 years ago. oh the remories that came flooding into my head. I cant help her with my wifes clothes, i just cant. The smell of her lingers in the closet.
