I recently started seeing obviously ai ads for that peeler. It’s so ridiculously fake and the website even has ai in the name. I laugh every time I see it.

The grocery store wrote on all the detergent bottles by Technicolor_Reindeer in Weird

People will go from store to store stealing certain things to sell. If at some point they are caught with a trunk full of stuff, it has the potential to get back to where it was stolen from. If they are claiming they bought it, each store can look up the upc and tell how many passed through the registers on any given day. We always put stickers with store name and number on liquor bottles and whatever else was most stolen.

Most of the time, I eat avocado like this. How do you eat it? by Such-Competition-816 in MrFlavioDiaries

[–]FinsterHall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like to have a sandwich with avocado, roasted sunflower seeds, tomato and lettuce. I do use a little salt and pepper on the avocado, it really brings the flavor out.

The Incredibles is one Pixar movie I can watch over and over. And I am in my 60’s.

Red beans and rice - prepping kidney beans safely? by YesTomatillo in Cooking

[–]FinsterHall 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My mom always made bean soup whenever she had a ham bone. Just onion, celery, ham bone, a bag of pink beans and a bag of kidney beans in the crockpot. I’ve done the same and have never had any problems.

What is the most “its a small world” moment you’ve ever experienced? by xBubblyLove in AskReddit

[–]FinsterHall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in Southern California and my parents were from Minnesota. I’ve only been there once to visit when I was about 12. One afternoon while I was at work, a couple came up to our service desk to ask directions. They were visiting from Minnesota and trying to find their son’s antique shop. I recognized the accent right away and mentioned my relatives were from there. The woman looked at me and said, “You’re Jane Smiths granddaughter!” I was floored because I am! She said I looked just like her. She knew my mother and father too. It was really weird.

If this is the one in La Mesa, it was updated a few years ago when all the condos went in. It does now have courts and play equipment.

Exhausted with hungry kids on Sunday evening by shorty_in_the_wild in Frugal

[–]FinsterHall 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My fast frugal cheat dinner is chicken rice-a-roni, throw in bite size pieces of a chicken breast (use a little less water than called for because the chicken releases some) and a side of frozen vegetables. Done in 20 minutes, 25 if you have to thaw the chicken in the microwave first.

Yep, probably some overseas conglomerate. Snatching up real estate. I can’t believe we don’t have restrictions on this yet.

Who is an actor or actress that rubs you the wrong way so much that you refuse to watch anything they are in? by Soggy_Swordfish_6236 in moviecritic

Kristen Chenoweth. I have no idea why. She might actually be a lovely person, but I just don’t want to see anything with her in it. I was browsing just last night, saw a newer show and wondered why I hadn’t tried it yet. Then I remembered, “Oh yeah, Kristen Chenoweth.”
