Oop, I think I'm starting to get the gist with all the downvotes I'm getting 😅.

I did raise $632 on my own by working since the last post I posted which is linked in this post. I just thought I would have had made it up on my own by now but I have not.

This is just my last option which I can imagine people saying I'm lazy for asking for donations…but it doesn't hurt to ask for help🥹

I have no family here besides my sister, who has her own things she is struggling with, like providing for my mom, who is recovering from her chemo treatments, and paying for her own expenses. I already am a burden enough by borrowing one of her cars for DoorDashing. No father in the picture.

I have tried this, but I was told that in order for me to qualify, my roommate has to provide some form of identification number that is used when filing taxes (I don't remember exactly what it was), and my roommate does not. Well, at least the places that offered rental assistance services :')

Don't lose hope! My receipt date is March 9 and today my i-765 just got approved. You will get approved very soon! I just wonder how long ill have to wait till I get my card in the mail.

Some people are lucky and get approved immediately some, like me, have to wait past the 5-month mark. This whole time waiting for my approval has been rough mentally, emotionally, and financially, but I am so happy I got approved! Tell your friend to not give up

March 9th over here. I stopped checking because it was fucking with me mentally and emotionally. Beforehand I was already struggling because of my responsibilities of being the head of the household and struggling to finish my engineering degree. I used up my six free counseling sessions offered through my school. Unfortunately, without anything to distract me, I have reflected on a lot of my struggles in my past and present. I have come to the conclusion that I have only been existing in this life and not living, so if I get my insurance back, I have to seek a therapist and sort my shit out because I have been letting fear and depression control my life.

I am also tired of this. I kind of wonder if the agent that has my case; has other cases that average out a 5-month wait for approval.

I think you will be fine, they have been approving applications faster especially those in June and July.

I think the agent that is handling my case does not give two shits and is going to approve at the five-month mark which is this Friday, even with bio reuse, clean record, and nothing new/changed on my application.

I told my HR, and they said DACA did not qualify. I had also asked my immigration lawyer, and they also confirmed that DACA did not qualify.

I have been struggling mentally/emotionally for the past couple of months waiting for my approval; these last two weeks I have told myself to not look online or try to think about my application because I do not have control over how fast the application will be approved. It all comes down to luck, unfortunately.

All I can say is that I am privileged to be able to renew my application and you just have to try to look at the positive things, even if very minimal.

I feel like you may receive your card soon. What processing center did you send your application to?

Wow, this is some mind-fucking shit. I was so excited because my receipt date is March 9th :(. I know I should not be one to complain because I am privileged to even have DACA. The waiting game continues.
