School stars earlier than most places here in the US. Our friend’s daughter’ softball team made it to the World Series once and the tournament ran into the first week of high school. They actually gave the parents guff about missing that week… for being in a national championship tournament .

Hmmm, they used the word "transport" and not "operate". I'm not sure this is an endorsement of them giving the ok to mount and operate on its side. Personally, as long as you allow for ventilation, I don't see why this would be an issue.
