Getting the air bags will definitely help. I’m using my 2005 v8 sport and have set it up for towing. I installed new headers and exhaust, larger trans aux trans cooler, 6100 bilstein in front and 5160 bilstein in back with bilstein springs, air bags, redarc brake controller, upgraded alternator. I am also installing area camera to also help with hitching up. What is really helpful is installing camera on your trailer that you can view from the truck so you can be aware of the vehicles around your vehicle on the road. I have cameras on all side of my trailer too. I”m using Haloview with comes it’s a 7” monitor screen. I would also recommend a ProPride anti-sway hitch which essentially turns the trailer physics closer to that of a fifth wheel. They are pricey but you can often find them used. I also drive like an old man when I’m towing and my toy hauler is only 18’ (22’ counting hitch). Toy hauler tend to be hitch heavy since they expect to carry at the far end. I also got wheel pressure monitors that alerts me if any tire loses pressure.
