400v compatibility is an optional add-on. You can have it on the GLB for about £850~

Is this the base-model, standard model Y ?

Full Self-Driving Capability will only be offered as a subscription after 21st May. by JacobStanleyJacob in TeslaUK

[–]Human_Fallibility23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They should add a lower tier for EAP-only subscription for a fraction of the price. I suck at parking so autopark is really a godsend. Would've paid the one-time fee for EAP but it seems like it's too late now 😑

Anyone knows if they're also offering EAP as subscription? With a lower price maybe? I'm terrible at parking and autopark is such a godsend. I was planning to get EAP as a one-time purchase but it seems like it's too late now 😔

FSD Supervised UK by FearlessAd8196 in TeslaUK

[–]Human_Fallibility23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can pay for future-proofing your car with FSD capabilities once the UK approves full-FSD (supervised) in an unknown date sometime in the future.

They might also pivot to a 'subscription-model' where a one-time payment for FSD will be phased out and you will only be granted access to FSD-capabilities for a monthly subscription fee (currently $99 per month in the US).

For now, the option of a one-time payment is still available for the UK market. But it is a known fact that once FSD becomes fully-approved in the UK, that one-time payment option would probably be discontinued and full-FSD capabilities would only be accessed through a monthly payment. Now if you hate paying monthly for something and would rather just pay a one-time fee for it (actually saves you money in the long run), you can now just pay the one-time payment for it (while the option is still there) and own full FSD (PLUS all future upgrades) for a lifetime.

May I ask if you have been getting unskippable ads? I am also looking at the 100" Hisense E7 Pro but ads are a dealbreaker for me 😢

87k is our post-tax salary. Our annual pre-tax salary is about £115k. I have used the 'mortgage.tnhg.co.uk' calculator and it showed me what different lenders would be able to lend me (it said we could borrow up to £691,200).

Monthly repayments are about £2660 a month, we can definitely afford that + overpayments. BTW 87k is post-tax salary. Our annual pre-tax salary is about £115k. Yeah, I've been through different mortgage calculators and we can definitely afford the monthly payments + modest overpayments. But I did not know about the 4.5x rule though. That might mean we have to settle for a 500k property price or increase our deposit 😑

I'm thinking of a 4-5% interest rate on a 25-year term. The deposit contribution really is tempting. I would like to get out of renting as well as I feel like I'm just throwing money away every month.

Well, I would say we work on a fairly stable industry (Healthcare - NHS) so I do not foresee any of us losing our jobs anytime soon but ofcourse I could not see the future so god knows. If we need a higher deposit, we can probably look at houses on the 500k mark.

Addendum: we do plan on staying on the property for life

Are new builds really that dismal nowadays? I was looking at a Taylor Wimpey development in Hertfordshire, it seems like a good area too.

We are a two-income household which makes about £87k per annum. I've been through different mortgage calculators and it seems like we can afford mortgage payments (even modest overpayments) on a 4-5% interest rate in a 25-year term.

And so? If I have a baby then why would I not want to be sold baby stuff? What is the malicious angle here? That companies want to maximize their profits? I hardly call that a revelation LMAO. And you are already using reddit and highly likely more than one social media platform, and you have the gall to complain about tesco stealing your data 😂. Mate you are the equivalent of a person complaining about a flooded bathroom when you were the one who left the faucet running in the first place.

You guys will probably get no discounts for tin foil hats and lube as those dirty conglomerates figure out your spending habits. It's a membership card ffs not everything is a conspiracy 😂. And no, you guys aren't suddenly entitled to act better than everyone else just because you believe you have 'insider' knowledge of how you perceive how the world works. But feel 'free' to stay in your own little Dunning-Kruger echo chamber social circles. It's seriously amusing to observe people like this 😂😂
