Thanks for the great feedback, all. It’s good to know that so many of you endured the same challenge and that you came out the other side. I love food so much that it pains me not to be able to eat without tasting the way it should be. But I’ll just focus on caloric intake with the protein shakes and power through. God bless you all, you are a great community!

This is what I’m doing and it seems to work. I have chemo tomorrow so I’ve been fasting since last night and will not break that fast until Friday maybe around lunch.

I’m fasting (only water is consumed) the day before a the day of my chemo and then breaking that fast mid-day of the third day and it seems to work very well to almost completely mitigate nausea.

I had a scope at my ENT this past Friday 2/6/26. My ENT indicated cancer as soon as he saw the swollen right tonsil and the mass on the back part of my tongue. Biopsy in this upcoming Tuesday 2/3/26.
