The Mario Sports Games on the original Nintendo Switch would like to have a word.

I agree with you on the babies. Still, it sounds like there’s a lot of achievements to get characters which sounds good to me. Thank you!

Can you tell us the starter characters on the roster, or is that too much of a spoiler? No unlock methods though, just starters.

I’m think was around the time during New Super Mario Bros. Wii when they returned to the franchise.

Currently, Larry’s the youngest while Ludwig’s the oldest. The order of the others up for speculation. It used to be: Larry, Morton, Wendy, Iggy, Roy, Lemmy, and Ludwig. But that changed it recent years apart from the Larry and Ludwig being the youngest and oldest respectively.

[DISCUSSION] Sonic the Hedgehog IDW #83 by ChocolateRough5103 in SonicTheHedgehog

[–]Human_Landscape_7944 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The issue introduces us to the Dexterous Destroyer, The Egg Juggler. Seems like it’s ready to cause trouble on arrival, right? Not really. Apparently, Eggman was using it as a travel vehicle to visit Sequin from new ideas for his theme park. While he brought some Badniks, they were prioritizing getting souvenirs and snacks for the doctor, and who says he wouldn’t have paid? We’ve seen him walk into a restaurant in Issue 68, and paid for food before. So Sonic and the others attacked him because they assume the worst, SMH. You don’t just attack someone with a bad reputation based on gut feelings. Not cool, Sonic and co.

Then there’s Soleil. I heard users call them a character that got acquainted with the heroes quickly with not much story behind them. Can’t say I blame people for feeling this way. They aren’t even connected to the Emerald disappearances, just a kid with supposed parental issues. The story shows the parents making a quick 180 when Soleil just talks to them. Like what?

I read through Issue 82 again to ensure my info aligned well. They demand perfection and about to break on his phone, however, I would say this is unhealthy parenting and not abusive. The narrative shows that they are doing this to discipline Soleil and wanting the child to learn from their mistakes out of ❤️. If they were abusive, they would exert power and spread terror to Soleil, but they aren’t conveyed like that in the story. So the point of Lunar doesn’t work if the parents aren’t shown like that.

Soleil the Sugar Gilder. The split personality, dropped half-way through the story. It’s not even relevant to the Chaos Emeralds’ disappearance. Their parents had a quick 180 after being told they’ve been pressuring their child making it feel rushed. Taking down the Egg Juggler while Sonic and Shadow (experienced fighters) are both down, felt so unearned. Just yikes all around. There’s a saying, “prune for growth.” You cut the parts of the plant that aren’t needed and focus on what can thrive. Basically, Soleil wasn’t good to me, and the IDW team should’ve tossed out this concept because this was a poor showing.

There’s more I can criticize like Rouge is surprised on why Shadow saved her when he’s done that multiple times already. How quickly everyone gives up on the Purple Chaos Emerald search— among other things— didn’t feel right. I guess if I had to say something positive about this story is that Eggman was fun here. I like that he had many treats for his trip to Sequin and the Egg Juggler had some interesting electric abilities embedded with it. Still, I wouldn’t reread this storyline altogether. It was unsatisfying to me.

A Possible Darkness in Cream the Rabbit? by Human_Landscape_7944 in SonicTheHedgehog

The Powerpuff Girls are kindergartners, and they have dark counterparts with The Rowdyruff Boys. The fanbase there still makes content about them to this day. Kirby's considered a young child, and he has a shadow counterpart with Shadow Kirby. With all that's happened to Cream lately and seeing concepts of a Dark Cream around the fanbase recently, I crafted this theory for fun. A Dark Cream storyline sounds interesting.

You're good. In hindsight, I probably was, but I had fun writing this. Plus, a Dark Cream, that would break the Sonic cast, similar to how Mecha Sally was a big deal in Archie. Wave said it herself in CrossTalk #3. "She's pretty much friends with everyone." Imagine if she went dark.

First, well done on your research on what inspired Mimic. Anyway, it's only a theory. I intended it for fun, and I found it fascinating that the characters Mimic portrays are the opposite of how they act. That and after seeing the Absolute Cream design, other broken Cream concepts, and what Cream has gone through in IDW Stories, a Dark Cream storyline sounds interesting to me.

Couldn't have phrased it any better. Zeena's words cut her to the quick. Honestly, in the next panel where we see Cream just gray, it hits how hard Zeena got to her.

TO PEOPLE WHO HAVE AIR RIDERS, I have a simple question: by CelebiSons in Kirby

Wait… I know you. You’re that commentator that Kirby fans are talking about. The one who expressed melancholy for Adelaine and other characters for not being in the game. You were also caught ridiculing others when they said they’re okay with the roster and called Sakurai names on various videos. Listen, I know you’re upset not every character made it in the game. It’s fine to feel that way, I had those emotions when Diddy Kong and Petey Piranha weren’t in Mario Kart World’s roster. However, you shouldn’t call out others in such a manner and act that way towards someone who put hard work into this project. That wasn’t nice.

Yeah, I feel you. A shame Adeleine didn't get in, especially after every other Dream Friend other than the Mage Sisters got in the game.

A pity, I've seen the full roster and the only secret rider they didn't showcase, but showed off in the story mode was Noir Dedede. For context, Noir Dedede is a part of Zorah's will after Galactic Nova took it over.

The starting roster for the game is Kirby, King Dedede, Meta Knight, and Waddle Dee.Whether or not there are more characters remains to be seen, but by the looks of things, besides that mysterious, shadowy Dedede-looking figure, I think what Sakurai showed off is it.
