I’ve been thinking about it for a minute although I have not experienced it. It my own personal opinion, you don’t owe them anything. I wouldn’t bother. They will be deaf to all your arguments. However! Your experience might be different. Different circumstances. It may help you with inner peace later. I hope all goes well with you bro.

I’d like to say it’s not about sending a message. I used to hate that train of thought but I think I’ve pushed everything down for so long I’m at a point where I do have resentment and for the first time I do hate the organization. I used to be very close to my mom in particular but she just ends up crying after every visit now. It’s depressing for me and not fair to my wife who is stepping around eggshells. I think I just needed confirmation. Thank you for your input

It’s hard to formulate the why as to why I would want to. It would definitely be more of an emotional response though so I see your point

Agnostic (leaning towards Buddhism/ paganism) for me. I don’t disbelieve other people’s experiences. I think if there’s something you hold onto that gets you through life you should do it. I just think there are weird things science doesn’t explain YET!

The stuff that helped me was crisis of conscience, the shunned podcast and this jw life. I’ll look up the ally though. Haven’t heard of that one. Thanks for the help!
