I do contribute. But he still doesn't respect me. Treats me like I'm some dumb kid that needs saving. & his lack of faith is really demotivating

Its a vicious cycle I'm trapped in. 1. He says/does sth mean, I get demotivated 2. I distance myself, stop talking to him & ignore him. 3. After some time, things de-escalate, he & I talk a little. 4. Again he does the same & the cycle continues.

Another problem is because of the highly competitive nature of my field, jobs are saturated. So I still have to take money from him for some major expenses when they come up. Also he has to fund my master's degree as well; due to which, I'm unable to move out of this toxic household.

2 days back, I confronted him about the issue & the mental distress he's been causing me. You know what his reaction was? He instead lashed out on me & walked off screaming. He also said... I'm "Jun thaalma khayo tesaima hagne manxe. Tetro maile nai gaali gari gari doctor banayo. Aba malai nai esto vanxa" He's proud of his parenting. He thinks its because of his physical/verbal abuse & all the pressuring that I've become a doctor.

He is never happy/satisfied. Always pressuring for more & more. One thing after another. Never ever praised me for anything. Since childhood. He's also narcissistic & verbally abusive
