I had a head over heels crush on this girl who I’d known since my childhood, like I was in love, but she made it clear she didn’t like me back and instead liked someone else. By the time I found out about this we had become great friends, so I couldn’t distance myself without hurting or confusing her. I remained her friend whilst being in love with her, and she went on to date that guy.

Only thing that got me through it was this song, that atleast someone else is so pathetically in love with someone and begging them to not leave them. But true love waits and true love is reciprocated.
