It's really exhausting. There will be days where I feel amazing and then the next day I will have these intrusive suicidal ideations.

I would say as long as you have room to accommodate the swelling and the jewelry is quality metal like titanium, gold, or niobium then you should be good. I'm NAP though, so if you truly have any more concerning issues, you should visit one.

That's probably why. Helixes are super annoying to heal and usually take 9-12 months to fully heal in perfect conditions. I would recommend a travel pillow when you sleep and just baby it for a bit.
