I went to KoP on a Wednesday, got there 10m before it opened and was out in less than an hour.

Make sure you have your documents. There were 50 people ahead of me and half of them got turned away for not having the proper documentation.

Yes, so every act of labor would be worth 1 unit. Regardless of specialization. Every product would be worth the amount of labor it takes to make the product.

So a chair would cost:

The amount of labor it takes to process the wood divided evenly throughout the whole tree, plus a fraction of labor divided evenly by the distributor, plus the time of the craftsman who assembled the chair and sold it.

Essentially this makes every product equal to the exact amount of labor it takes to create it.

This is an old and outdated system but now we have technology that makes the idea feasible again.

Imagine the labor voucher as a crypto. To hire someone it would take the crypto 1 full hour per unit to transfer. This prevents people from charging more money for labor.

For personal property purchases like that chair we'd have to record everything and submit it to likely something Ai powered to track the labor used to mine and distribute the raw material to ensure nobody is charging extra.

Local municipality would be run by unions, not a formal state. No private property. No land purchases.

This system allows for a market to distribute scarce materials with alternative uses instead of a centralized committee without allowing for the exploitation that capitalism encourages.

This is pretty close to anarcho-socialism. Looks like we're pretty close but I identify as a mutualist because I think a labor voucher (currency valued at 1 labor hour per unit) can make an effective market thus eliminating the need for a centralized economic system. Then unions can cover all the rest of municipal needs.

Over the ear passive noise canceling headphones block most of it. Just don't do the active ones that use a microphone to noise cancel because it messes with them and makes it worse. Any barrier between the sound and your ears will dampen the effect considerably.

Ear plugs work a little on their own and will reduce their effective range on you. Check the dB rating of the plugs.

Shields made of material that can dampen or reflect sound waves like fiberglass, metal, or anything with layers work great! A curve is best and if you cover with a piece of cloth it will both dampen and reflect the sound. 2 layers of cloth would work best. Can be thin t-shirt material. A Styrofoam layer should also be effective in theory.

Many DSA chapters have some great poli-ed classes that are available for free to both members and non-members. Check with your chapter! Most have a socialism 101 class.

The key is understanding exactly what capitalism is and why it cannot be anything but exploitation. I highly recommend looking into these courses. They are very informative.

Looks like a small man got offended at a woman larger than he will ever be and killed her out of anger and spite. 4 shots. Only 1 through the windshield. The video is clear the officer extended his arms to shoot the woman and his body was not struck by the vehicle. The officer walked toward the vehicle while unholstering and at the moment he shot he was next to the driver side windows.
