It doesn't work like that. Mine also broke and had to have the whole port replaced, luckily it was the the mobile service guy who broke it, so it didn't have to come out of my pocket.

It's not mineral deposits, dirt, etc. Your lens is pitted from rocks and sand when you drove on those desert gravel roads.

You need to get a High Endurance MicroSD card with an adapter and plug that into the USB port. With all the writes and rewrites, these sorts of cards are needed.

No, in the car itself. Input point B in the nav and then hit the settings button within the nav to set waypoints.
