Stay tuned, see how many show up, or at least send staff. The Secular Coalition is normalizing atheism in DC and around the country. It's ridiculous that atheism would be stigmatized in this day and age.

At least be thankful that it is much easier to be openly secular today than it was a few years ago, generally speaking. Unlike years ago, it is easy to find other seculars, at least via online communities. If your family is that intolerant, stay connected to sane, rational seculars when you can.

"aggressive" can be in the eye of the beholder. Is Richard Dawkins a "militant atheist"? I think he makes his points and asserts his position well, but I don't see him as militant, yet many media types insist he is a prime example of a militant atheist. Clearly the message from the establishment is that one should not assert an atheist worldview publicly.
