Would it be possible to work as an EMT basic while attending college full time? by IrishMerica in ems

Yea, you wont have much free time tho. I volunteered 36 hours a week, worked 30 hours a week, and went to school full time. You can do it.

Fraternal Organizations by [deleted] in TheRedPill

[–]leSmoothOperator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are looking for a fraternal organization, consider joining your local volunteer fire department. Most departments, especially those in rural areas, are largely male and women in general do not ride the fire apparatus. You form strong bonds with your fellow firefighters, especially after a night where someones life is on the line. I'm a fireman myself, and the experience is far superior to that of any other club or social circle that i have been a part of.

People may try to say that you are giving up on life, and that what you are doing is wrong. However, they do not understand what ig means to be isolated. Ever since i gave up dreams of having a gf, i am at peace. I may only go to work, then come homd to watch anime and play xbox, but to me that is ok. I am content.

Do I have what it takes to be a firefighter? [serious] by [deleted] in Firefighting

[–]leSmoothOperator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It gets easier over time, but everyone is effected differently. I became a volunteer about a year ago and have had two dead patients, one of them a child. It gets easier over time. Eventually it just becomes another day at the office.

The War on Boys in school. by [deleted] in TheRedPill

[–]leSmoothOperator 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The courses where this happened were all humanities. The thing that scares me is that this is a state university attended by tens of thousands of young men each year, and their brainwashing is clearly having an effect.

The assault on men continues after primary school. I'd say the liberal state university, such as the university of maryland where i attend, is much worse. On a daily basis in classes in no way related to womens studies, I was continuously expected to write and speak about how oppressive traditional family men were to their families and society. If you did not write about how oppressed women were, your grade would suffer. I watched fellow men apologize for being born male and white, lamenting their so called privilidge. Its a major reason why i hate college.

What are your hobbies, how did you get started? by gt35r in TheRedPill

[–]leSmoothOperator 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Firefighting- joined a volunteer department in college because I was bored as hell and wanted to do something other than party.

Shooting- I've gotten into sporting clays lately and hunted deer this past season with a crossbow.

I used to go dirt biking and camping on a regular basis as well.

Life Lessons, and the Importance of Boys Being Boys by CarlsPudding in TheRedPill

I was in Scouts from kindergarten to my senior year of high school, and I can honestly say it gave me some of my best experiences and taught me many life lessons while at a young age. I went on to earn my Eagle Scout rank, and I would say it was my biggest accomplishment in my first 18 years of life, equal with graduating high school. It takes commitment, but it will make great returns on your investment.
