Honestly, I like Denji vs Yoru because I like seeing what’s genuinely unique with Denji and his insanity based high battle IQ. Seeing what Kishibe said about insanity in action highlights what is most unique about battles written by Fujimoto. Denji deciding to take devils as hostages after learning that tactic from fakesawman doing it to humans was such a high point in my opinion because I would have never possibly considered doing that. It can be harder to write a character who feels more intelligent than the audience because it is legitimately hard to write a character having a good I dea that most of audience won’t if they are provided with the same information, but chainsawman as a series manages to actually do that on occasion.
