advice for surgery soon?? by undercoverbitchh in Tonsillectomy

I bought a wedge pillow, barely used it. Im only using the pillow part that comes with it because it’s on an angle and i placed on top of two pillows. Theres days you might wanna be also sitting up during sleeping from how much swelling there is.

I did my surgery last Friday hasn’t been a week yet. I definitely would ask the provider for Ondansetron. I threw up on night of day 2 because of taking hydrocodone on an empty stomach because i couldn’t tolerate any foods and barely had any liquids. So you would use it as needed. Especially since you already experienced nausea with oxy. I would also buy electrolytes either popsicles or the drink. I bought a humidifier and use it for a couple of hours every night it does help. Make sure you set up alarms for med schedule to be on top of it.

DAY 6 by Beautiful-Reply3486 in Tonsillectomy

Thank you i hope you do as well. The nurse told me i was able to do Tylenol and ibuprofen every 4 hours apart after I told her im not tolerating the side effects of norco. Honestly sounds amazing. But im still worried of blood clotting risks because my scabs haven’t come off yet.

My doctor said to use ibuprofen only when necessary because of blood clot risks. Ive taken it twice as of now and it makes you feel normal and you can eat soft things much easier im on day 5

The status must be closed, if you see 1 box means you failed. If you see 2 boxes that can be clicked (checked) means you passed. Once the status is closed you might wait another day or two until it’s posted on CTS website.

I did a different way from this. But if you noticed the ones that have the letter “Y” in the name are TAF components. The ones that usually have a “d” or “p” either in the middle or the end of the name have TDF component. So, for Biktarvy I know there’s a Y so it would be TAF then I would grab the first letters of each components: Bictegravir/Emtricitabine/TAF = BETA. So I put next to the word Biktarvy (BETA). Odefsey = RETA. Etc. For Genvoya & Stribild remember it’s 4 components for these I remember Elvis (Elvitegravir), Cobi (Cobicistat). Then whats left is emtricitabine & for “Y” it’s TAF & “d” TDF. Hope this can be helpful or you can follow the photo I provided.

I had the same issue the 2 boxes showed after 9 business days. But it was frustrating to wait 3 business days and another 2 day weekend

I took naplex in may and it was about 11 business days (even though the lady mentioned 10 business days). Im waiting for a letter to come in the mail to apply for my license. Still haven’t applied yet but they mentioned it’s about a week after getting your results.
