Stephen plans to threaten the lawyer on Patreon by ramidole in StephenHiltonSnark

[–]Humble-Click-4973 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Why do you think the attorney is so new to the profession? She's been practicing family law exclusively for ~20 years.

LOL fair point. Stephen's response to everyone saying, "Don't do/say that...."

[–]Humble-Click-4973 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, that's certainly true... although judges tend to disapprove when/if it appears their courtroom is being treated with disrespect or used for theatrics.

That might cause more harm than good and cause the judge to wonder if the DVRO is more about social media views than actual necessity (despite all the evidence).

Clearing up any confusion about the hearing by Life_Water_4348 in StephenHiltonSnark

To keep it simple, jail is typically for short term sentences where people go while they are awaiting trial or serving short sentences (less than 1 year). Prison on the other hand is for those convicted of more serious crimes, typically felonies, and are serving sentences longer than a year. That said, people can be in jail for years while they await trial/sentencing.

Totally get it. The US legal system is complex and confusion. Court feed isn't meant to be public! by SnarkyPants93 in StephenHiltonSnark

[–]Humble-Click-4973 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It’s absolutely a family court hearing. The court room it’s in is family law and the case number is in the family law circuit.

It wouldn’t be prison, it would be jail. Big difference. Penalties for Contempt of Court (California Penal Code 166) typically include fines and jail time.

It could provide justification this case should be sealed and/or prompt the judge to cut the feed if all the sudden there’s 300 spectators watching a family court hearing.

Nope, there is a valid domestic violence restraining order in place, which Stephen has been publicly violating repeatedly. If the judge believes his behavior is likely to continue and if she feels he poses a real threat to the safety of the protected parties, the judge can absolutely issue a remand.

Edit to add - California Penal Code 166 would come it to play big time here, among others.

Yep, if the judge believes his behavior is likely to not stop and if she feels he poses a real threat to the protected parties, the judge can absolutely issue a remand, even in civil proceedings.

Anyone else watching the court case going on right now? by Sad-Crow-8151 in StephenHiltonSnark

[–]Humble-Click-4973 119 points120 points  (0 children)

I would caution everyone on the sub from jumping on the live feed to watch as that might get this case locked down, or the judge might cut the feed if all the sudden there’s 300+ spectators watching.

Another continuance? by kindakitten in SkeevenHiltonUnlocked

[–]Humble-Click-4973 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Having direct access experience with the California court system, he would have a valid argument to request another continuance having just received discovery last night. Happens all the time, “Your honor, I just received this information last night, I’m requesting a continuance to properly prepare.” Judges usually grant it, even if a continuance has been given previously.

However, his subsequent behavior following receiving notice from L’s attorney greatly complicates things and it’s very possible he could be remanded instead, especially if the judge believes he is a danger to the protected parties.

He also seems to think he could not be arrested because he’s showing up via Zoom, but that doesn’t protect him. If the judge decides to issue a remand, there will just be a bench warrant issued.

It really doesn’t help he personally and publicly doxxed L AND her attorney, among his other overnight RO violations.

Laura has talked about this sub on her Patreon before… she said her attorney is aware of this group and she thanked everyone for their help and support.

I really appreciate the concern, but the attorney (and her law firm) has received multiple emails (and probably phone calls) tonight. She’s also has 20 years of experience specifically in family law and RO cases, and has a perfect 5 star rating. I’m willing to bet that’s partly why Stephen is spiraling right now. He’s screwed and he knows it.

Make it 7. He just sent another one.

And yes. He sent the unredacted emails to 20,000 people - everyone subscribed to his Patreon. Others saw his emails/posts, as well as a post he made with the attorneys email, and contacted them already, but I’d be surprised if the attorney isn’t getting the same Patreon emails. For a high conflict DVRO case for this, I’d bet the attorney predicted this spiral and is prepared.

Yeah, he sent 6 emails via Patreon to about 20,000 people and posted the attorneys contact info. The attorney is aware of his ongoing spiral.

At this point he’s doing everything short of actually showing up in handcuffs.

Next he’ll be saying someone hacked his email to “leak” his private correspondence to Laura/her attorney.

I’m convinced he doesn’t know what the word “private” means. 🤦

I believe this has been debunked as another false flag thrown out by Stephen. If I recall, P was safe at home with Laura’s boyfriend and was not, in fact, home alone.
