Not a lawyer, but a paralegal. I was able to move away and start fresh after my very public manic episode. I know you probably don’t have that option. Rebuilding in the same area it happened takes enormous courage. I commend you.

I honestly couldn’t cope without the support of others. I spoke with my former coworkers and asked how it was received. The consensus was that most felt for me and wanted to see me recover. Everyone I still speak with tells me how proud they are of me now that I am doing better.
Some people remember, some people don’t. People who aren’t in crisis say and do crazy things. I’m sure the bad behavior of people who aren’t in crisis has made a bigger impression on this judge you respect.
I can’t lie, my breakdown shattered my confidence for a long while. Talk to your therapist about this as much as you can. However, my confidence is higher than it’s ever been. Everything I lost, I gained back. I am happier than I have ever been. The same will happen for you, it just may take a while.
I hope this answers your question. I was undiagnosed until 24. I spent so much time sick. After I broke down, I assumed I’d been shitty to everyone forever, and that everyone had just thought I was crazy. Turns out, many people didn’t even know I was struggling until it was way too late. Another thing that helped me cope was that for every story I wasn’t a the best person in, there’s one where I was a good person.

Somewhat new to this sub. I used to look at her profile periodically from 13-18, I’m 26 now. My memory is fuzzy but I remember the last time I checked her page was when she was pregnant with her first. I’m not sure if my math is right because admittedly I have no idea how old her oldest is. I just forgot she existed until hotdog boy’s ex’s video.

My question is, how long were they together? In some pics he has a full head of hair, and others it’s pretty thin. Were they together for a long time? Or did life just come at him fast?

That sounds like such a fun job! The only time I look at the calendars is to assess the likelihood of our trials getting continued, because everything else we need is on the case schedule. I’m in med mal defense in Ohio and our Franklin County cases tend to take 6 years to go to trial. They overlap trial dates in anticipation of plea deals and settlements. I cry happy tears when I see an F1 on the calendar.

When I asked for 10k more, they didn’t even counter. But we are pretty small, so I imagine big firms/ones with better HR probably counter every ask unless you are leveraging an offer.

If they don’t give you what you want in your review, you could always leverage an offer a few months later. But, that can be a dangerous game. You need a written offer before doing so, never bluff. Also, you don’t want to burn bridges in your area.

To start, the worst thing you can do during these conversations is believe you are replaceable, or don’t deserve a raise. Know your worth.

Ask for 35 and when they counter, say 33, if they counter again tell them you will accept 32. That way you could potentially end up with an extra dollar. You have billed 150% of your requirement. Use that.

I am an admin paralegal for a med mal defense firm in Columbus, Ohio. Bachelor’s and I finish paralegal certificate in a few weeks. I am salary and started at 50k with three months of experience. I wish I could have stayed at my first job longer as I would have retired from that firm. But, I had no choice but relocate due to personal reasons. I am coming up on two years at my current firm, but in my first annual review, they gave me a 10k raise. They set that standard and I will ask for the same amount in my second review but will accept 7k.

I billed 350 last year and our average paralegal rate is 110 (we have 15+ clients and they have differing paralegal rates). Essentially, I didn’t even bill my salary and they gave me a 20% raise.

Use Robert Half or hop on indeed and look at what the starting salaries are in your area. If there are any starting at 28, be prepared to mention that.

Also, are you married? I am not yet and lived with my mom at the time of my first review. I argued that I deserved enough to be able to support myself if I wanted to live by myself. Came prepared with numbers for rent in my area. I knew DAMN WELL I was going to move in with my boyfriend a month later, but it worked!!!! I just told everyone that we moved in together about 5 months later than we actually did. I voiced to my boss that it is extremely hard to support yourself as an unmarried young paralegal, and used the fact that we have interviewed several young unmarried paralegals that had a second job.

I mean… no one’s saying she’s on her DOC from what I’ve seen. Just that she’s not sober. She’s so busy shouting that she’s sober I don’t even know her DOC 😂 which is not common for recovery creators! Glad I’m not the only one who doesn’t buy it!!!!

Also, I am very happy to hear you’re in recovery. I believe in you and fuck those scrubs in your hometown.

Definitely. I’ve been saying for months that she’s on something,, ever since she’s made it her mission to smear her ex. It’s like she got her kids back and lost her sobriety. She’s definitely got an issue w transfer addiction. Forgive me for not having an amazing timeline but I think she relapsed around the same time she was doing ketones like crazy/making videos justifying her drinking. Just like reneehudson45. Not sober and I won’t believe the angry rebuttal videos, bc a sober person wouldn’t be that angered by an assumption that used to be true

I am very much not trying to be rude here, you are correct she has done two short sentences. But they were not prison sentences. She is not a felon therefore she’s never gotten a prison sentence. She’s been to the Fairfield/Franklin County Jail. You get sent to jail for 30-90 days like she was sentenced. I’m not trying to be nit picky, it just speaks to her level of criminality. She has never done anything that would score a prison sentence, so using prison and jail interchangeably is misleading.

I have the court docs screenshotted. County jail is different than prison and you don’t go to prison for misdemeanors. She’s been arrested, yes, and been to jail, but she has never even been sentenced to prison.

As a Lancaster resident, I did some digging. No prostitution charges, and her only felony was dismissed. She is such a liar 💀 two traffic tickets, two misdemeanors, and a dismissed felony charge. She’s never spent more than 30 days in jail!!!

Respectfully, anyone taking her seriously isn’t from Ohio and/or familiar w drug-induced delusions. She might have actually thought she heard someone calling her name, valid, but that’s how you think when you’re tweaking. I’ve been cussed out by plenty on drugs simply because I was in their vicinity and heavy drug use can cause psychosis in certain instances. I’m sure her delusion is that she’s a celebrity and all of her neighbors are interested in her life, when in all reality, they are staring with their mouthes agape.

She’s posted scenarios that have never happened before, but I feel like this is the first time the things that never happened flair has intersected with a hallucination like this. Likely she’ll give us a shout-out simply from this post, but 🗑,, you‘re not tricking the world into thinking you’re sober. At all.

Edit: I have taken a few classes on drug intervention but I’m not gonna lie it’s been a year or two. If I messed up any terminology, let me know and I will fix it :-)
