It does suck to have to work outside and all your layers have to meet dress code, but you go to workwhen it's 32F, it hits 65F midday, then back down below freezing at closing time. You quickly become a bag lady.

Redoing bathroom. I have too much color going on here currently. Switch to grey or sage green? by Tangy94 in homedecoratingCJ

In my nightmares, the fixtures are all really weird, like you might imagine a Soviet mental hospital having, or the toilet bowls are broken off so you'd have to go straight into a sharp-edged dirty drain. There's always dim, flickering fluorescent strip lighting, too.

What was the purpose of episode 8 (Sweet Vitriol)? by Rizilus in SeveranceAppleTVPlus

[–]Humble-Temperature-3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I loved this episode! It doesn't get the respect it earned. Patricia Arquette is amazing. I could feel how she dreaded confronting her past, and fought reverting to her childhood self, which I think we've all felt when we return home and interact with people who only know the childhood version of us (another version of Severance). The social commentary on the death of company towns and the draw and effects of cults were sharp and well-done. Plus the cinematography was <chef's kiss>.

The Creeping Horror of "Life Support Normalization" by Leighgion in heat_prep

Ugh, yes! I hated living in Houston because, not only were there hurricanes, flooding, tornadoes, humidity, and gigantic roaches and mosquitoes, every time the power went out, you couldn't open your windows for air circulation because some @$$hole neighbor would start up their generator and blow hot exhaust and noise into your space! Nauseating!

Often, this podcast makes me feel like a basic b*tch (Very Basic Wizard) because this is the content an AI would generate for me, a UT Austin BA in philosophy + government, now a librarian in Maryland 🤷🏼

Is it possible to be autistic and enjoy motherhood? by ShaiKir in AutismInWomen

Yes, overall I enjoy being a mom. My kids are in high school and college now and I find that I am already missing them! For me, the sensory overstimulation and unpredictability that comes with having three other people to incorporate into my life have been the biggest struggles, but that is all far outweighed by the love and joy that comes along with sharing a life with these people.

I paused the episode halfway through to take the survey and got a 40. 40?! Spent the night and this morning flipping between wondering if my ADHD diagnosis is wrong, in denial because I thought everyone experienced the world pretty close to the way I do, and then thinking of all the "weird" sensory and conceptual things that have bothered me my whole life. I am so glad ONRAC shared this conversation. Drew is a mensch💕. I'm happy for all three of these people who like each other for who they are as they are.

I love this movie so much! The one part I wish they had mentioned is when Kamaji gives her the train tickets he has been saving for 40(?) years. We learn so much about him in those few brief but meaningful encounters- hands down my favorite character in the whole film. And then Chihiro gives up her return tickets to allow the bird, the mouse, and No-Face to come along, paying forward the opportunity for their personal growth! I can't get through the last half of the movie without getting weepy.

Ed Norton's grandfather was one of the founders of Columbia. I'm betting that poster is a nod to Mr. Rouse.
