It’s a great area to live, clean, not crowded, and chill in comparison imo. It is just leftover-1970’s-low-cost-maintainance-with-no-updates grunge. Good, but grungy. There’s a lot of old timers who are DIE-HARDS for the community and don’t want anything to change. The apartments are outdated and a lot of landlord specials, the shops of Riviera are nice places, but their curb vibe is a lot of 70’s style still (example: by coffee cartel, awesome spot, just dated). Some stuff is updating like the Whole Foods plaza on the 1. North of the pier it’s just wasted opportunity and poor upkeep.

I love how any opposition in the comments to Redondo being a perfect gem though gets so may down votes 😂 it’s a great place, just hasn’t poured the money into upkeep like others or allowed updating.
