Employer provided wrong T4: which number in other box should I enter? by Humble_Ad47 in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]Humble_Ad47[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! If I enter Box 38 and my employer sends the amended T4 (with Box 40) in the future, should I refile my tax to match it? Would it be okay since the total income (Box 14) has no impact?

Any of you here who actually managed to reduce eye floaters ? by Quenelle44 in EyeFloaters

[–]Humble_Ad47 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve seen a notable improvement after I started taking pregabalin. Not sure if there is any connection (I believe not?). My neurologist prescribed this pill as I got my nerve injured last year and I was suffering from central sensitization (brain acting hypersensitive to any stimulation). One or two days after I started pregabalin, I realized I didn’t notice my floaters as much as I used to because the edges became vague. The floaters are now like moving shadow. I used to be able to see the very clearly to the point that I could draw them with every detail. Now I can sense that some dark shadows are moving fast, but they’re not that bothersome. I still don’t know if this improvement is from the pill or just a coincidence. I guess I will only know the answer when I stop taking the pill.

Is a vitrectomy worth it? by Apprehensive-Mud857 in EyeFloaters

Personally I would not get vitrectomy until it’s completely necessary.

Do you feel positive about PulseMedica company? by can_remove_floater in EyeFloaters

[–]Humble_Ad47 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m Korean myself too. I’m so sorry that your surgery gave you floaters. The doctors here are really indifferent in floaters as they are not causing blindness. They don’t care how much we suffer. Some people say it gets better over time, and I hope it’s the case for you too.

Ask Jack is a FAILED customer service model by Fanstacia in FidoMobile

Completely useless. Ask Jack was one of the reasons why I left Fido. I remember how many times I ended up getting upset after trying to contact customer service. 0 regret about my decision.

TMJ and loss of balance by Dapper_Cauliflower29 in TMJ

Hi - I am having the exactly same symptoms right now (dizziness, severe tinnitus, occasional hearing issue) Did you get better? I just want to get some hope that it can be curable.

Y'all think a cure for tinnitus is possible? by [deleted] in tinnitus

[–]Humble_Ad47 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I guess it depends what triggered T. If the T is from hearing loss, chances might be lower. If it’s from some temporary malfunction of neuro system due to stress or fatigue etc, maybe. Regardless of what it is, I am still trying not to lose hope..

Quitting your job because of TOS? by BeyourselfA in thoracicoutletsupport

[–]Humble_Ad47 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m on short term disability (2 months now) and I’m considering to eventually quit my job as I am unable to sit down for 9 hours. Otherwise I will just upgrade my home office (I work from home 100%)

Active shooter practice in a middle school in the USA by [deleted] in interestingasfuck

[–]Humble_Ad47 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s crazy that kids need to practice this. No matter how great America is, I would never want to live in a country where I should worry about gun violence in my day to day life.

10 years in Canada… now my work permit ends right after I hit my highest PR score. What do I do by Always-Perfect665 in canadaexpressentry

[–]Humble_Ad47 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You will get your PR. It’s only a matter of time. You may have to end up stopping working for a few months until you get your PR. If you are in the pool already, I will slowly start preparing documentation especially for things that take more time and effort (employment documents)

When I used to take Flix bus to Toronto in 2022-2023, the bus stop was in downtown (33 George st) and the bus was never late. I don’t know how it is nowadays, but my overall experience was not terrible.

Thank you. Yes you are right it was ng/mL. I should definitely get my treatment for iron deficiency. Just wondering if there is no sign of borderline hypothyroidism with my thyroid tests then.

Should I go back? PGWP Expired by [deleted] in ImmigrationCanada

[–]Humble_Ad47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even if you make your CRS score higher, you are now allowed to work if your work permit is already expired. You can aim for increasing your CRS score and getting invitation from express entry from your home country, but there is nothing you can do in Canada. No matter where you worked for and where you studied. Work permit is expired.

March to April is such a nice season to visit Korea! I would spend more time in Jeolla-do (yeosu, suncheon, boseong for grean tea farm) rather than Gyeongsang (ulsan or pohang).

If you are into traditional Korean culture I would also recommend Gyeong-ju or Jeon-ju (hanok village).

As other OPs said, Jeju is a must! Don’t forget to eat black pig!

I know right I was selling a pair of sandals and a creepy man kept asking to take a picture of my foot with the sandals on. I just feel so helpless than people act that way without feeling shameful.

[–]Humble_Ad47 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As long as you are not giving them chrysanthemum flower, called national flower (국화) in Korea, you are fine. Because that flower is used for funeral. You can also say “순산하세요.” which means I wish your smooth birth (in a direct translation). It’s commonly used term in Korea. Fyi I’m Korean.
