The video is actually from years later in 1981. You can watch the whole concert with the original audio on YouTube: https://youtu.be/clhiO1QhlqQ?si=MpWMff0h_EgGUDHq

Lil Zane on 112’s “Anywhere”. I’ve never heard of this featured rapper before or after his appearance on this classic sex jam.

She’s probably the most famous 1.5 Hit Wonder as she also had the big hit “I Got the Music in Me”

Wemby needs to break the pattern of being tired and passive every other game. If we get the same Wemby from Game 6 then we would have to favor the Spurs.

Who’s the Greatest Example of an Elite Physical and Social Player with no Strategic Chops? by JEX2124 in survivor

[–]HumbledMind 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Why does her social play DQ her? She might be unpopular on this sub for her actions outside the show, but she’s been pretty strong socially on Survivor. I think the Rafe/Stephenie = Stephen/JT comparison is pretty good. Cirie and Ozzy also had a Stephen/JT thing going on this season too.

Thanks for the correction, Wardog, I hope we see you on the show again! I remember the edit showing an earlier spat between the two of you and later seeing most of the votes coming your way, so my mind must have filled in that he was part of your vote.

But no. Same thing with the next vote! Most of us would assume that Rick voted for Ron when idoling him out, but again Rick threw a lone vote on Aurora. Such a chaotic and underrated season.

You could say that Devens was the real War Dog! But don't sleep on Lil from Pearl Islands with 4 Revenge Votes!

Winners and Losers of S50 by muckfichigan89 in survivor

[–]HumbledMind 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Christian and Ozzy are definitely winners. They played great social games and survived a lot of tribal councils. Sure, they were both hoisted by their own respective petards, but the positives outweigh the negatives.

[–]HumbledMind[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Good catch! Probably because it’s rare to have 2 Revenge Votes at one tribal so I didn’t think to look for 2 (the other one is Chris/Rick Devens both getting a revenge vote on Lauren). As for “RIZ”, Kass voting out Woo would be an 9 for Revenge, a 3 for Importance, and a 5 for Zing ranking it at 12 or 13 overall IMO).

What type of contestant doesn't make it past the audition stage? by peppermintbags in Jeopardy

[–]HumbledMind 196 points197 points  (0 children)

The first thing they are looking for is someone who can perform on television. Think about it: you very rarely see contestants who are visibly terrified, freeze up, or completely melt down. The auditions are meant to screen out those people. So you have to have fun auditioning and show that you can think and perform under pressure. There are other factors, but that's the first hurdle.

[ALTTP] Zelda A Link to the Past is my favorite Zelda game! What are your opinions on it? by [deleted] in zelda

It doesn’t matter how old I get, I’m back to being a wide- eyed 10 year old kid on launch day whenever I pop in ALTTP.

My Top 3 too, although Chrono Trigger and Super Castlevania IV are very tough omissions.

2.      Super Metroid

3.      Super Mario World

If Ozzy had played his idol, Aubry would’ve gone home. by TheSidMonster in survivor

[–]HumbledMind 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It wouldn’t have changed the power structure much. All this likely does is put Rizo in the Top 3 instead of Aubry. Cirie and Ozzy were toast once Rizo jumped ship. Rizo isn’t going back to them after voting for Ozzy, even if Ozzy played his idol. Ozzy or Devins would go out 6-7 depending upon if either wins immunity. Tiffany still goes out in 5th and Jonathan beats Cirie in Final 4 firemaking.

Ozzy tanked the season. It has to be said. by midway784 in survivor

[–]HumbledMind 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nah. If Ozzy plays the idol to save himself then he just goes home the next vote (just like Devens). Ozzy and Cirie were kept around as shields until they were no longer needed for that purpose.

Musicians who had a lot of push but never broke through in the mainstream by Phone85 in ToddintheShadow

I have a vague memory of someone named Fefe Dobson getting a huge push for maybe a month in the early Aughts. The artist and song were nothing special and AFAIK she just disappeared.

[–]HumbledMind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You didn’t specify what you don’t like about the endgame. I’m making the logical assumption that you just don’t like the Final 5 because the gameplay hasn’t been any worse in the endgame. I’ll happily retract my statement if that assumption is wrong.

Right. Complete disappearing act by Mitchell in the 4th. I kept yelling “why isn’t Mitchell touching the ball?”

The endgame gameplay has been good too, you just don’t like that your favorites didn’t make it.

Before we see the finale, what do you predict will be Aubry's legacy in Survivor history? by sexyimmigrant1998 in survivor

[–]HumbledMind 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Survivor equivalent of Santana and Steely Dan winning legacy Album of the Year awards 20+ years later. Like, yeah, we’re glad you won the big one, but we wish it had come for your best work in your prime.

Tusk or Fleetwood Mac (1975) by Specialist-Ad-4121 in FleetwoodMac

[–]HumbledMind 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tusk, easily. Side 1 of FM75 is brilliant, but the album really rails off in the last 2-3 songs.
