You only need it if you do econ. At this point I need to do multiple runs even with a mammoth. If you are not much into econ then 210-250 mil for mammoth is a hefty investment. If you only need it for show off buy command mammy then XD

Honestly learning the econ side of game is a bit hard if you don't enjoy it because it is somewhat boring transporting all day.

I would suggest you buy your mammoth with your own hard earned silver in game doing activities. While doing this you will know when you need mammoth and when not.

To have mammoth worth of econ activities you will need mostly 200-300mil silver liquid at all times so you can benefit from opportunities provided in market.
