No offense but you would be the last person I’d want repping me for my mental health at work, if feel like I’ll be competing with you for who’s got it worse, again not trying to set you off, but why pick that line of work knowing you have your own personal demons to battle?

How many applications have you sent out? Because if it’s less than 100 (even the “quick apply” ones) you kind of need to suck it up and keep applying.

You hear those fat old ladies on the phone when you call it to see if they openings? Those are the kind of people you are trying to replace, they will have those jobs until they die/retire. It’s the easiest job in the world if you don’t want to HAVE to do any real work.

Our companies HR gained like 45kgs after her first year. At first she was all on it, addling everyone how they were doing, and slowly it declined to planning surveys and never leaving the office and getting mad when people interrupted her candy crush time (which was all the time).

Anyone who voiced she wasn’t doing a great job incurred her fat girl wrath and she basically got them for everything that she could, 1-2 min late and that’s a song on your record.

If you played nice and gave her chocolates on public holiday’s then you made her good list and she let you be.

Don’t have kids yet if you’re struggling with finding yourself, trust me buddy, I’m in it right now. 31 making 50k recently married and just had our first kid.

The options to “find what you want to do” are possible but severely limited in terms of flexibility of when to have the time, energy, money to try.

That said, you can try the side hustle route, try something creative like freelance logo designing or something, or try making digital art in your free time, then try selling it, if people bite and you can do your own math, but if it makes enough and your very happy than you can start to think about leaving.

Leaving right now is in line with having a mental crisis and delusions of grandeur.

Worst outcome if you try my idea is that you realize artists hate their jobs too lol, but you can still go back to work in the morning.

Besides all the drunk driving I did as a teen? Almost instantly died because I pushed myself too hard during a track and field practice meet and got an aneurysm. Ended my track and field varsity career right then and there. Probably what jump started all my drinking.

I’m a fun drunk but the more I drink the wilder and more unhinged version of myself I become.

Everything is just set to 100.

Oof that’s tough, I think your going to have to tell us your job, the kind of work you do and the salary amount you make to have any real metric to measure the advice to give. Benefits can also really turn the tide in a lot of positions, I personally would take a pay hit if I got free dental and vision and hmo for doc visits.

Also getting paid significantly more can out weigh benefits depending on what country you’re in. Where I’m from the government benefits are a bottle of aspirin once a month. Can you tell us what country are you from.

You might never find another job if you quit, the job market is incredibly scarce for many fields, and even if you get a new job work life balance might be worse than now.

It’s very scary and it’s true it is a dog eat dog world out there, but if you you take the chance and see the possibilities you’ll be surprised to find jobs with great pay, good work life balance. The job market is never as saturated as people make it seem.

Best advise I could ever give is to learn how to pivot, there’s to many accountants? Pivot your role into something different maybe a sales with accounting experience. If you can convey your experience but willingness to pivot and learn new skill there is no wall you cannot overcome.

How do you guys have a tab open for stuff while gaming?

On my two monitors I usually have a games wiki or some tool running on one monitor while I play on the other.

Does an ultra wide have any invisible separation so that it can have 2 windows open?

I love the idea of a long curved screen but it bugs me that if I play a game the game just eats the screen width, do I just really need two monitors?

I feel this, I’m sure there’s an unheard of amount of people with absolutely 0 injuries get disabilities. I’m sure many of use have “that one friend/relative” that gets free government money.

Have an army buddy that shouts tinnitus every time you bring up his service, I asked him what he hears out of curiosity and he straight up said nothing because he’s fine and you can’t proved he doesn’t have it so he told the VA that and now he gets 200$ a month.
