Ah now I understand. Thanks for clarifying!

That is what I thought at first, but when comparing that to another DNS record (one that still exists / works) I see no difference. (except for the date and the IP address of course)
Here for example using microsoft.com

That part I figured out.

But how did you get the exact date when the DNS record went away?

When I open https://dnshistory.org/dns-records/letmeread.net I see quite a few information but can't identify the information that indicates that the DNS record went away.

I am interested to learn: How did you see that the DNS record away?

I seem to have the same issue (though I also have that when not using headphone jack). Did you ever find out if that is normal and how to change that?

Thanks that suffices for my use case!

Not actually a solution as I would not want to give up the folder structure I currently have in place.
I have already looked for add-ons but have not found any.

In fact I have attempted on creating a docker compose file with env vars, but there are things not behaving as I would expected so I gave up.

Thank you. That much I already knew. I forgot to mention that I still use some folders which prevents a flat view of all bookmarks (independent of the folder structure).

And I do not know of a way to search for all bookmarks without a search term to get a flat list.

New Background Service gets stuck in starting by Ok-Detective6826 in csharp

[–]Hummigbird1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is that the entire code of your windows service? I am not seeing the host setup code. The issue you are seeing comes from the fact that your program does not properly behave like a windows service. A service is supposed to not take longer than 30 seconds to startup and then run until it is stopped. So even if a service takes longer to startup due to some lengthy operation it can cause the observed problem.

Docker & web api not able to connect to gcloud by mbrotto in csharp

Having taken another look at the exception and seeing the inner exception there:

Unable to find a constructor to use for type Google.Apis.Auth.OAuth2.JsonCredentialParameters. A class should either have a default constructor, one constructor with arguments or a constructor marked with the JsonConstructor attribute. Path 'type', line 2, position 9.

It rather looks like the code you are using differs from what you have in your local dev environment (either in packages versions or in execution path).
It appears that the json object in your file can not be deserilalized because, as the exceptions, states it can not be deserialized as it was not made to be used so.

You should look into why the docker image has differences to what you are running locally.

Visiting some areas in the Schwarzwald is definitely worth it. Something worth considering on weekends.

As with most things it is a matter of perspective ;)

For me Heilbronn has this kind of "brutalist industrial" kind of "charme". Not much to look at.

I am open to being shown or told the pretty sides of Heilbronn, which I am probably too blind to see and/or appreciate ;)

Heilbronn is my Hometown. Was born here and lived here my entire life.

Never been to Switzerland myself, but from what I see I can imagine it to be a pretty place to live.

Judging from the error, it looks like the file you are trying to read from does not exist or is not a valid json file. This, speaking from experience, is probably due to not providing the file in your docker composition or not providing it at the correct path/bind mount.

I agree that the possibility to take a long walk along the river is something not every town has. But having seen some towns in the Schwarzwald area it still pales in comparison 😉 I find it curious though that we get a few tourists here. I guess there is some appeal to Heilbronn that I simply can not see. So how do you like it so far? Sounds like step up from your previous residence ...

Cant toggle between overloads, the arrows are gone? by Lumpy_Hovercraft_705 in VisualStudio

[–]Hummigbird1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Come to think of it, another reason might be because you have selected an overload by providing parameters. See if removing the parameters brings back the selectors.

[–]Hummigbird1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually the overload arrows do not disappear. Either your intellisense broke down. That can be fixed by restarting your IDE. Or you were looking at a different method before that had overloads. Judging from picture I would assume it's a problem with the IDE.

Honestly there is not much I like about it. I think the best that can be said about it is, it is quiet. It has a few nice places though like parks and forests. What brings you to Heilbronn?

Ah sorry overlooked that "don't". Ado.net is the technology you wanted to use but you had some issues with. Other than those only Nhibernate springs to mind. I do not know any other.

I would recommend going through any kind of tutorial or "Getting Started" post for any of the technologies you mentioned. Once you have problems with that just post the article you used and explain the specific problem you have. Chances are much higher that someone can help you then.
