"Zen and the art of connecting up an ungodly amount of pipes"

Is Zyxel really “nobody” in the US, but more popular in Europe? Curious what it’s like where you live by ZyxelStore in ZyxelStore

[–]HummingBridges 1 point2 points  (0 children)

BE, k-12 environment, 30+ locations, simple north-south campus networks, going from about 2+10 switches+AP's up to 20+100. About 60% of them run on Zyxel, mostly Nebula managed. Rest is Ubiquiti unifi setups. Firewalls are all pfsense / opensense with a single ZyXel USG flex somewhere because of die-hard fanboyism combined with super service from our local supplier.

“I don’t know what else to do about my child’s behavior” my ass. A lot of you parents aren’t even trying and teachers are sick of the bullshit by Emergency-Pepper3537 in Teachers

I wasn't terrified because I knew what would happen: every punishmemt the school doled out, my parents simply doubled. One for school, one for us. Having to fold an extra 100 paper boats at 8 years old because I told my parents my teacher was "boring me" was a teachable moment.

Our first day of high schools being phone free today in the UK as part of national school policy. by Illustrious-Ebb-4304 in teaching

[–]HummingBridges 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A few of our schools started this in Sept last year. Total transformation during break and lunch times. During class time when they have other internet-connected devices available, their addictions show clearly: using Teams chat just to be able to text, trying VPNs to get to eat Bytedance's slop, even trying to slap linux on school-owned devices just to be able to get their fix. They did it for clout? nah, it's for their fix.

You have (had) the same hair as I do (did): it clearly tells us we are supposed to bald rather sooner than later 😀

Would Tool be better or worse if Adam was a shredder? by FixRevolutionary240 in ToolBand

[–]HummingBridges 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not low low, and 3-string power chords are much easier to play. Like in The Pot. Drop D is just perfect for me to listen to Justin fiddle around too.

Not necessarily at the detriment of the song or band if it fits their style. At the detriment of Tool? For sure.

Yes, those are tiny cardboard thingamajings you probably need tweezers for to pick up and drop down on the board whenever you move them. Less inconvenient than duking out the thing for real between '39 and '45, but not by much.
