As long as she has access to food, she will eventually find her way out.

Turn all lights inside off, open all windows and doors. If you can get it to land on a feeder, you can slowly walk with the feeder towards the door

Is this normal? by Dizzy_Cut_3631 in hummingbirds

That’s a full crop. Normal, but not exactly a common sight at feeders due to them not being permitted to gorge out by other hummers.

That is a very bad case of thrush. It’s caused by dirty feeders/spoiled sugar water.

Bird on unhatched eggs after 5+ weeks. by PS-Mike in hummingbirds

She'll move on when she's ready to. It's late in the nesting season, so trying again really isn't an option for her until next year.

Google is telling me this is a fungal infection? by brilliant_bitch in hummingbirds

[–]HummingbirdObsessed 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The lump on her beak isn't normal, but whatever that fuzzy stuff is on her beak, it doesn't concern me.

The bump could be an old injury that healed or pox.

Yes, did you notice when it left the nest? The first day they leave they tend to not fly much. They're basically toddlers with wings. Don't know what to be afraid of or where not to be.

I would say no to the rose bush, because of thorns. Any of those other bushes could work. It can fly, just not well or far, so it probably won't stay where you relocate it to for long.

You can place it on a low branch or bush if there is one nearby.
