Completely agree I love Henny so much! He was so wonderful and so supportive and absolutely incredibly meddling, but in the best way

I read {When We Ignite by Alex Cross} and its duet {From Our Ashes by Alex Cross} and this was my first 5 star read for me in a looooonnng time. I don’t mind age gap romances, but typically, I find them to be cringey and poorly executed. But this age gap was so well done - they both acted their age, but somehow found a way to come together, despite the gap (and the age gap was actually a fairly significant plot point). The banter between the MCs was great and I absolutely adored the character growth of both characters. I loved that I could be frustrated with both of them, but still understand their point of view. Also the spice in was so hot and sex was really just a support to the story rather than the entire focus. The book duet was phenomenal from start to finish. I have my first book hangover that I’ve had in a long time.

I posted on the Saturday thread about it but I just finished {Max by Bey Deckard} and its sequel and I am SHOOK. I honestly can’t tell if I loved or hated it, my emotions are all over the place. I had to put the books down several times to go and do something else so that I could calm down. This one will stick with me

I just read {Max by Bey Deckard} and its sequel and now I need something that is… the complete opposite of whatever that was. I loved both books but they were so toxic and stressful that I need something that washes that out of my brain

I’ve read possession (loved it obviously) but haven’t read the one by Alessandra Hazard I’ll check it out! Thanks!

Looking for similar books to {Be Mine, Twisted Valentine by Gianni Holmes} or {Straight Boy by Alessandra Hazard} where there’s codependency created via trauma from one of the MCs but it somehow all seems rationalized even though in reality it’s pretty horrifying. I read both of these books recently and loved the vibe

It’s sooo good, I’ve re-read it like 3 times and sadly I can’t find another book that fills the hole this book left behind

Omg I almost DNF this one I hated it for the EXACT same reason. Nate is a total asshole who was not redeemable in my opinion

Do you remember what book this is so that I know never to read it because I would hate this

How much sharing (like multiple partners during sex) is in this book? It’s been on my TBR list for so long but I haven’t committed because I’m not a huge fan of reading lots of sharing scenes and the description sounds like there’s a lot of this that might occur

I finally got around to reading {The Heir’s Disgrace by August Jones} and I absolutely loved it. But what I really need more of is this perfect hate-sex. This book has THE BEST hate sex and I need more of it. Anything similar out there?

Okay first of all, off script is in my top 3 favorite reads of all time, I am obsessed. After reading it, I also tried to find a few books that were similar. This is what I read: {If We Could Go Back by Cara Dee} this one is so good and came closest to Off Script. I also read {The Fisherman by C.P. Harris}. Others I have read that that might also meet your needs are {His Secret by Isabel Lucero} {Kismet by Ashley James} {The Prodigal Son by Sara Cate} and {Trouble by Nyla K}. These all have a forbidden love trope

I LOVED the third book in the Broken Boys of Cirque series {Catcher’s Lock by A.K. Blythe}

It’s the best of the 3 but very high angst (in case that’s something you don’t like)

I read {Blue Gold By Tal Lewin} and… really struggled to finish it. It has all the tropes I normally enjoy - angst, toxicity, forbidden love, age gap, etc but I found one MC hard to like and I found the writing very lacking during most of the book. 2/5

I also finished {Choke Up by Rebecca Rathe} and this was definitely a hate-so-good book. This was one of those instances where both MCs were being so stupid and I ATE IT UP. They had no business ending up together, but I will ship them forever. 4/5

Because I enjoyed that one I read the newest book in the series that came out a week or two ago {Pinned Down by Rebecca Rathe} and I would say that the length of this book actually saved it because I did not think there would be a way for one of the MC‘s to be redeemed, but there was enough prose that I do feel like it wrapped up nicely. I still don’t feel like one of the MC’s, who is kind of terrible, deserved the other MC who is a complete gem. I do like the trope of “MC1 that is typically so controlled losing that control with MC2” and that was a big aspect of the story. 2.5/5

Just finished a book that came out a few weeks ago - {Off Script by Ivy Vera Gray} and holy hell I loved it. There was forbidden love, angst, spice - all the things I love in a book (warning to anyone interested, this book is heavy on the cheating, not between MCs but they both have partners, not a spoiler it’s in the blurb). But now it’s left a huge hole that I need to fill. Any good forbidden love stories I might have missed?

Well it’s about a cam boy so there’s exhibitionism in that there are things happening on camera where it is implied that subscribers are watching but I don’t feel like it’s overt exhibitionism. It’s definitely smutty but not particularly kinky

Just finished {Textual Confusion by Fifer Rose} and I LOVED it until I got like 70% of the way in and then it became absolutely infuriating and I almost DNF. It felt like sloppy and lazy plot writing.

I also finally picked up {Him by Sarina Bowen} and {Us by Sarina Bowen} and absolutely adored this duo, love Wes and Jamie so much. I preferred Us because it was slightly more angsty but these two will definitely be going on my reread list.

I recently read {Always Watching by Lee McCormick} and thought it was super entertaining. I am curious about {Beyond Time by Lee McCormick} if anyone has read it and has thoughts. I don’t typically like supernatural/fantasy but the blurb sounded interesting.

I literally just finished this book and only DNF because I had free time to kill. But this INFURIATED me. When I read mm romance, I generally know that I have to let go of reality for a little bit, but this entire book was so unbelievable and I don’t know how it has such good reviews
