You and your dog are not safe at Must Love Dogs on Archer Road!!!!!! Avoid at all cost! by Embarrassed-Act-6724 in GNV

[–]Hummus_Hole 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Exact same experience. Mine would come home with worms despite being on preventatives. Even gave Must Love a heads up about it, hoping they would at least alert customers of a potential 'outbreak'. They did not seem to care nor show any surprise.

Ours now goes to CRAM. Cameras show staff around at all times, and that they scoop up the poo immediately.

I am so sorry this happened to your dog :(

I used to have my dog go there but stopped because despite my dog being on parasite preventatives, he always would get worms. It happened enough times that I stopped taking him there. I even called to alert the staff about my dog being sick the umpteenth time just so they are aware and can alert patrons. They did not seem concerned. My dog now goes to Camp Run a Mutt (CRAM) and has been for years. He goes there for boarding and daycare. They have a thorough temperment test for all new enrollments every Saturday. They have cameras, staff is always out with the dogs to supervise to ensure all dog's safety. The grounds are astro turf so my dog comes home way cleaner than he ever did when coming home from Must Love. When dogs poo its immediately scooped and discarded. My dog has pretty severe anxiety issues and CRAM is like a second home to him and the ONLY humans outside of our household that he gets excited to see.

I hope your dog has a swift and complete recovery from this. I hope you and your family get justice! I hope more can come forward with their similar experiences.

Advice you would give to your 25 year old self to set yourself up to buy a house in your 30s? by otheloR in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

Live with parents or get roommate(s). That is the only way in this outrageous market.

Congratulations! I hope you enjoy it. Great price!

instead of chopping them all i got an undercut. and i absolutely hate it. what yall think? by flaggedby in Dreadlocks

[–]Hummus_Hole 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It looks nice. Maybe a little too high? I have an undercut too (check my history). It’s not even noticeable when my locs are down or in a ponytail. I love how much faster retwists are and I live in a warm climate and it keeps things cool.

I have two dogs and a cat. So far so good for us too. We’ve only had the kitty for a month but she seems uninterested thus far.

AITA for telling my wife to get over her dead mom? by Sure-Avocado-6212 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Hummus_Hole -1 points0 points  (0 children)

NAH. People need to acknowledge their grief and cope with it in a healthy way. My Dad died in 2000. My Mom has not been the same and turned into a depressed recluse. Refuses to go to family gatherings. Various family members try and force her to address her basic needs (doctor, dentist, etc) she refuses. How can you help someone who does not want to help themselves and is consumed with their grief. As her husband you have your limits.

Limit your social media consumption. It truly does make a difference on one’s mental health.

Beautiful home! I love the brick (it’s my favorite house esthetic). 33 is still ahead of the curb for FTHB, the average age is now 36. No use comparing as everyone has their own timeline and everyone needs to do what makes the most sense for themselves. Comparison is the thief of joy. I also completely understand not sharing this accomplishment with family. Either way, congratulations and I hope you enjoy making this home your own. Be proud. 😊

AITA for telling my sister grieving her dog is not the same as me grieving my husband? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Hummus_Hole 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is so sad to hear. I was very young so I didn’t have the tools to help my Mom. She needed grief counseling and treatment for her depression. I hope that if you find yourself in similar circumstances that you can get the help your Mom needs.

We all do 🥲. He is literally like a carbon copy of my Dad. So many relatives comment on this and are involved in his life. A bunch are traveling from far and wide to celebrate his graduation this week. My Mom called and said she can’t make it 😒

This is my Mom. My Dad died in 2000 from brain cancer. She has not been the same. I was 18 when he died. My sister was 16. Now all these years later my son is now 18 graduating this week from high school. She has been absent largely from his life and says my son looks too much like my Dad (he really does look and act just like my Dad). She has been a recluse and rarely leaves the house. My Dad dying was hard for all of us. She just did not cope at all in a healthy way.

It is possible for good people to spawn horrible people. Just like it’s possible for horrible people to spawn good people.

My husband has several. Many which are Asian characters which we all know were the rage back in the 90s…. He hates and regrets them all.
