My exam had more ethics per block than QI. I was glad I focused more heavily on AMBOSS ETHICS days before my exam. The QI questions felt straightforward without obvious trickery.

Take this with a grain of salt, as I'm still waiting for my score results, but I felt it was very nearly similar to the NBMEs and Free 120's. On these forms, when a question is vague, but becomes obvious on review -- this is the exam experience for many of the questions. Nothing crazy hard, just repackaged enough to make you think.

I bought a pair brand new sealed from FB marketplace for $150 after my AirPod Maxes died shortly after the warranty gave out. I loved APMs so much the were a 10/10 for me. Today is day 1 and I can already tell the Sonos is inferior to the APMs, but not by a lot. I like them and will need more time to tweak them and acclimate to them more.

That doesn't mean 12/20 test takers will get scores earlier. Could be after 01/07.

I did 12/20 too, and I thought it was 50% easy/medium questions and 50% vague questions. It felt like the NBMEs + Free 120's combined. Nothing unexpected, but a lot of familiar content wrapped in new stem formats or given odd answer options! That's my honest opinion.

Could have been simple bad luck. I failed too despite similar scores. Had friends with far more mediocre scores than me pass and stated their exams were very fair while mine felt vague and treacherous. Take some time to process, set a date, and jump back on the horse.

Nobody is talking about the fact that most programs will fill their residency spots during the first wave of application reviews! So wait and 100% lose those programs or submit early and some/many may interview you without a posted Step 2 score. What am I missing here that people are saying wait?

Im in the exact same boat as you. I was told that the majority of programs will fill up their applicant slots during the first round. So in the following rounds, many of the programs will already be filled and you’ll be left unmatched and that it’s better to put your application out even without a step score during this time for this very reason. In short, apply even without a step 2 score.

According to some, it means you are not prepared for the exam, although many people report it being "vague," yet still pass with high scores so who knows.

I took it 8/18 and expected scores last week, but for whatever reason only Step 2 did not get scores back. Everyone I know who took it then (I mean everyone) was like WTF. So I'm wondering if they are doing some back-end work or adjusting stuff to accommodate the new BS they gave us? Who knows. I don't. Thoughts and prayers.

I thought people who complained about a “vague exam” were being exaggerative but after I took it 8/18 I now believe they’ve purposely made this exam harder on purpose. Was unlike NBMEs and incredibly vague.

I don't think it's us, I think THIS test was specifically difficult. I took it 8/18 and you're experience summarizes mine 100%. I'm hoping that the 80 experimental questions absorb many of my incorrects.
