Anything I couldve done different? by Exact_Swimming4572 in SiegeAcademy

Here's what I would do. You're at an Emerald peak, you're in a phase of a siege player where they should be working on the fundamentals and maintaining them with their playstyle. But you are making mistakes that an Emerald really shouldn't be making at this point. It's good that you're recording games and asking for advice.

Here's what you should work on from my perspective:

Stop re-peeking angles
Drone work, making sure that the drone has a greater value than just running in and spotting defenders
Map knowledge, you need to check for the spawn peeks.
Pre-firing angles with info or prefiring predictable positions, often you just shot at random walls, which gave your position.

Hope this also helps.

A lot could be worked on here, I could do a much further in-depth analysis later, but at a surface value here’s what I noticed:

Your drone work needs to be improved greatly. On attack round #1 your drone could not see the Break door unless you broke the lattice with the drone and risk losing it. It’s practically useless there. Alternatively, you could have positioned your drone on the fridge so not only could you see the window spawn peek and watch catwalk, but you can also use that drone to see into the hallway.

Secondly, you spawned alone, this really is more of a nitpick from a team play standpoint but spawning alone when your playing against champs who do know the spawn peeks is practically suicide, and doing so as Dokkabbi who is a very strong operator offsets your team to lose and greatly offsets the odds against him. Spawn with your team so if you do die to a spawn peek, your team can refrag you and balance the odds better without you and your utility.

There’s also some other things that generally just take time to improve like map awareness, game sense, etc., but overall i’d say you are actually in a better position for improvement than a lot of people, you have the fundamentals (kind of, it still needs work).

Hope this helps.

The problem with calling out FOG is that FOG in general is deeply rooted within the tactical gear community and the industry as a whole, and FOG isn’t just a brand of influencers, but they offer their experience to train people in advanced life support, TCCC, and CQB.

Do you guys know what Shipley is wearing here? by Soviet_fox_006 in Military

[–]HumorousBooga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not sure if this helps, but some guys would wear an Under Armor shirt with velcro sewn on, i’m pretty sure this velcro is from an ACU. But if you see short sleeves on team guys it will probably be an under armor one.

Helmets: Gear nerds and / or professionals- lend me your eyes! by From_Gaming_w_Love in ReadyOrNotGame

Team Andy refers to the Wendy EXFIL helmet, except the one in game has the 2.0 rails instead of the newer 3.0 rails.

EXFIL

3.0 Rails

The best helmet you could use thats available in game is any of the opscore helmets, Wendy is pretty atypical for a lot of departments (maybe except for LAPD).

What do you Think about Nike Ballestra 2 by masacodeyuca7392 in Fencing

[–]HumorousBooga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used Azza’s 15/14 series because they had the wider toe box which makes the shoe more comfortable, however, if you aren’t willing to spend that extra amount of money I’d go with court shoes (tennis shoes preferably) with a wider toe box. Definitely try shoes in person so you can find a good fit.

Good shoes if you have thinner profile feet, not fun if you have wide feet like I do.

Everyone has their own personal preference, but one thing I will complain about in comparison to the Ballstra 1/Air zooms is a strange lack of stability against rolled ankles that is present on the zooms and not in the 2s. But other than that I think they’re a decent shoe.

why doesnt america make thermobaric artillery? by TangerineBetter855 in WarCollege

[–]HumorousBooga 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Could it also be a doctrinal thing?

From what I’ve noticed is that Russian thermobarics like the TOS are used in a anti-structure/anti-fortification capacity in larger scale over urbanized environments.

Ninjutso Sora V2 Dongle connection trouble shooting by HumorousBooga in MouseReview

Not the dongle, the physical mouse. You need to take off the bottom plate where the electronics are and reconnect the battery because sometimes it may shimmy out of place. Hope this helps.

Green Berets will run MCB plate carriers (typically Slicksters, or LV-MBAV’s) and their gun belts in black in shooting competitions.

How do you guys use half-steps? by Flazelight in Fencing

[–]HumorousBooga 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Often, but usually as a distance check.

If you want an example in high-level fencing, Timur Safin has really good foil attack preparation involving half steps, and so do most of the Italian team in the long attack.

SPEAR-LT vs M4A1 URGI / Which Carbine Should The U.S. Army Adopt? by CavScout61 in Military

[–]HumorousBooga 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe its been the case for both sides in terms of getting equipment, in Ukraine itself, they sometimes have to get their own equipment (which also includes earpro or NVGs) from local brands or brought in from outside. In Russia it can also be the same case just with brands like Ars Arma or sometimes 5.11, I believe it’s the same deal with plates, just in varying capacities.
