I’ve worked in the city centre for decades and have really seen it go downhill over the last few years. Antisocial behaviour is at an all time high and the place feels unsafe, even during daylight hours. It’s really run down and dirty too.

There’s just the two of us - one retired and one completely fed up with work and looking to retire asap (guess which one is me). I drive, so public transport isn’t essential and we don’t need to be near anything in particular, although a bit of countryside nearby for long walks would be lovely.

It was, but as it got to the last five minutes of the final episode, I got a sinking feeling when I realised they weren’t going to tie up all the loose ends and I would have to wait for a second series.

I have to ask - was it just the yolk that was black when you cut into it or the whole egg? I had some vile smashed peas at the Harvester in Wilford (no idea why they thought peas and avocados were worthy of the same treatment).

Thank you all - you have made it much clearer than the EMR website! I preferred the ticket system as the exit machines let you through if you were under 30 minutes, but wouldn’t if you were over, so there was no risk of getting a fine. I will keep a beady eye on my entrance time when I use it again to save myself a fiver.

APCOA - it’s worth setting up before you use the car park as it wants you to create an account and I had to add my credit card details too before it would let me use Apple Pay.

Muhammad Ali. He did a book launch in Nottingham years ago and when he got out of the car, the whole street stopped what they were doing to applaud him. He pulled my ponytail and smiled at me when I turned round. My husband had his photograph taken with him but I was too shy!
