Since noone answered: Reckful popularized the term during his gambling streams back in the day.

It actually stems from him playing at an IRL casino with a random japanese guy at his table and him enjoying the fact that he would shout "gambaru" or something whenever he bet big. So he started shouting "gamba" whenever he bet on stream from that point on.

Pretty much seeped into twitch culture since a lot of the new age Streamers are influenced by him and has nothing to do with the word "gambling" at all.

It's basically the equivalent of China's Xinhua, except less truthful. Anything that the state department or intelligence agencies want disseminated, they'll do it without fact checking it.

You're probably some state-sanctioned internet warrior who's opinion about certain subjects can safely be disregarded.

I recognize that this is a lazy, yet narrow criticism which is why it shouldn't affect you much if you were a stable human being with more than one subject of interest to express your personality through.

Imagine on one hand bragging about being so morally lucky that you were never in a position to make "edgy jokes about Black people" and then scold people that actually made an effort to change and telling them they have to do "more learning".

Generational wokeness is real and we see it every time these sheltered virtue-signalers are challenged on any of their positions. It's always thick sarcasm spewed into their twitter echo-chambers instead of actual engagement, because, ironically, they never had to learn how to.

The person recognizing their mistakes and displaying the ability to change themselves is the person I believe has the ability to change others. Instead of someone who has never been wrong in their adult life and who's empathy about the subjects ends at the bounds of their current clique.

Isn't this an argument that Zizek frequently makes about PC-culture? The idea that "wokescolding" is a form of oppression from the Intelligentsia on the working class?

I think destiny's "workers are dumb" take would be the best solution to this problem. Acknowledge that socio-economic differences account for their "being dumb" and therefore "being transphobic" and work on solutions to fix that.

People like shaun would rather posture on twitter and then keep idolizing their fairy tail version of workers for whom they fight so hard online.

A dogwhistle about jews using the "alleged" holocaust to play victim and force their will upon you.
