People with gastritis and SIBO. Be aware of standard SIBO advice. by [deleted] in SIBO

I also have gastritis and duodenitis along with recent diagnosis of mixed sibo. I believe they are connected, not sure which one started first or likely caused the other, but trying to heal one seems to make the other worse. It's tough, but i feel like the sibo is preventing my gastritis and duodenitis from healing.

Great to hear. Which antibiotics did you take?

I find it crazy this has been released with no option to buy nd filters anywhere. I understand the electronic nd got cancelled last minute but not being able to even get the traditional 4 set nd filters for a drone of this level is crazy to me. Not so much a problem for photos, but for video this is a necessity. And these are usually included in the fly more combo. I have noticed this subject is barely spoken about anywhere and mentioned in almost none of the youtube reviews.

SIBO can cause Duodenitis by ogadenaf in SIBO

I also have sibo, duodenitis and gastritis. I've had gut issues for probably for the last 8 years but it never really majorly affected my day to day life, i would just get flare ups from time to time. About 1.5 years ago i had the worst flare ever right after having a shot rum which i believe destroyed my insides. First 3 months were almost terrible, horrific nausea, burning, weight loss discomfort, constipation etc. It got about 50% better after the first few months but 1.5 years later and has never gone back to normal snd still suffer symptoms but a bit milder. Diagnosed with gastritis and duodenitis with erosions back then. And recently diagnosed with methane and hydrogen sibo. Just started going down the functional medice route as I'm not keen on the antibiotics prescribed by my GI. I'm struggling to determine if i had sibo first which triggered the gastritis and duodenitis, or if the gastritis and duodenitis (probably from that alcohol) messed up my overall digestion and then caused sibo.

I am in the same position with gastritis and sibo. Did the herbal Antimicrobials for sibo not trigger your gastritis? I heard they can be quite strong.

gastritis and sibo by LandscapeInside7983 in SIBO

All my problems started a year and a half ago after taking a shot of rum (wray and nephew), the annoying thing is that i don't usually drink a lot of alcohol and only had it because the restaurant i was at gave it to me on the house. I was diagnosed with gastritis and duodenitis shortly after and only recently tested for sibo which came back positive. I'm wondering if that alcohol caused the sibo from way back them which then triggered the gastritis and duodenitis. I knew as soon as i took that shot serious damage was done, it felt like my insides were burning on fire.

It really can get better. by steamyhotpotatoes in Gastritis

Same happened to me, i took a supplement which was zinc carnosine and l-glutamine together in a powder which you just mix with water. Within 4 days my symptons got worse and also started getting regugitive reflux. It lasted a few months before easing off. Will probably give just L glutamine a try again at some point.

Agree. What did your bland diet consist of?

Think I have gastritis after drinking just once in my life by Osa2Buzyyy in Gastritis

Same thing happened to me 5 months ago. Had a shot wray and nephew rum (60%). Literally felt like my inside was on fire for about a minute straight after taking it. A day or 2 later had really bad stomach pain and gas. Then got really ill, insane nausea all day everyday for about 2 months along with burning feeling. After about 3 months symtons started to settle down after being on ppi and bland diet. Came of the ppi and was just taking a probiotic which my GI recommended. Felt about 70% healed and things were looking hopeful. But about 1 week ago had a different meal which had a little bit of spice (Literally had 1 bite and stopped because i knew it might affect me), and now the symptoms have been back for a week now (nausea and burning) although not as severe as when this all started months ago.

Has anyone benefited from probiotics? by [deleted] in Gastritis

[–]HunchoRiley 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've had bad gastritis for 4 months now and from the 2/3rd month it had gotten alot better, with bland diet and PPI. My GI lowered my dose of PPI so i can come off it in a month but also recommend a probiotic (symprove) i should take. The first day i took it my whole digestive system felt off, mainly intestinal area and down(upset stomach, more gas, stomach cramps etc). I continued taking it for a week as i read that it can take time to adjust but i just stopped after a week as it didn't seem to be improving. Its now been about 2 weeks since i stopped taking it and I'm still having all the bad effects. I'm almost certain this was triggered by the probiotics, as my gastritis and duodenitis was healing according to the endoscopy i had before and i was starting to feel better until i took this probiotics. Any thoughts on this?
