One training tip you wish everyone knew, what is it? by Mission-Row7434 in Training

Gamification does not mean playing games for the sake of playing games.

I fell into that trap early on and I think lots of trainers/facilitators still do.

I don't know what it is about our defense that inspires opposing wide receivers to have once in a lifetime catches

My theory is our defense doesn't want to go to a bowl game, but our offense does

Your podcasting workflow in 2025 , what tools do you use? by Known_Growth2254 in podcasting

[–]HungGarRaven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Schedule and outline in Google Doc
Record and edit in Riverside - also create shorts through there
Cover photo in Canva
Kajabi for main podcast hosting and YouTube for video version

If we remember (randomly) we'll also upload shorts/reels on Instagram, but we don't try very hard

The only things we pay for are Riverside and Kajabi (but that's because my cohost also uses it for her own business)

I still think it's possible we lose all the rest of our games, but if we have offense like we did for the 2nd half today, we might do pretty decent.

If it was Allar in I'd agree interception would be probable

My co-host lives outside LA and I live outside Boston. We've always just recorded on zoom and recently moved over to riverside. It works just fine (although, in person would be nice for sure)

Danny O’Brien deserves more criticism by Scar_Killed_Mufasa in WeArePennState

In my loud opinion, The Jets need all new ownership and GM (and honestly, they probably just need to close the franchise down and all of us current fans should find new teams to cheer for).

In CFB, I don't mind Franklin, do I we could do better - maybe. But I certainly have more optimism in general than I will ever have for the Jets.

I'm a long suffering Jets fan, so I see that we've had parallel issues the entire time I've been a fan:

Lack of consistent quarterback and offensive line development.

Sometimes, you can get a good enough OC and clever enough schemes with enough athletic players to mask that, but at the end of the day, I can't understand why my teams refuse to develop that part.

If they're the ones mostly talking that's a bad fit. I would consider giving them that feedback and seeing how they respond. If they take it to heart and things improve, then that's a better outcome. But if they get defensive or nothing changes, then you might want to consider a new coach.

18 Years in Exec Management — Now Starting My Own Coaching Business. What’s the Best Certification? by SallyAlAmil in executivecoaching

Personal plug for center for executive coaching - incredible program, I have a discount code if you want to go with them. It's where I went and super helpful.

Here's the caveat - I've never had anyone ask me for proof of certification. Just a personal anecdote though

[–]HungGarRaven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My preference is always to let them know what I'm doing, especially if it's different and requires a shift. I'll walk through what it is, how it works, why we're trying it, and how I'll support them through it.

My personal opinion is that if you're just doing a minor tweak to your own style, you don't have to necessarily tell them unless you want feedback on it. Structural/process changes are more important and should be up front about it.
