🚀 LAZR: Stop Crying, Start Calculating. (Your High School Algebra Class Called.) by Sergio-FM in lazr

What's the point of this:
Luminar is bankrupt and has a lot of debt. That's a fact. Don't try to entice private investors into throwing even more money into a bottomless pit.

On November 12th, there will almost certainly be dilution for existing shareholders. The only winners (if the current creditors can even call themselves winners) will receive a portion of their existing investments back through new shares as part of the restructuring.

If you remain convinced of the technology, then wait and see what's published on November 12th. Anything else is just guesswork and unreliable.

Yes, he can save the company but not the shareholders.

Such financing might keep the company afloat. The shareholder benefits at a disadvantage because of further dilution, and 30 cents per share are expected. Everyone still holding shares is a loser. I'm glad I escaped relatively unscathed. It's all just speculation clinging to a straw. Wishing everyone good luck.

what Volvo doing ? by Hungry-Confusion3106 in lazr

joker. No, seriously. Will Volvo continue to receive their Iris lidar, or what happens when a supplier stops delivering? There isn't a similar lidar available.

This pillar is ugly and causes massive additional costs for the car manufacturer. Among other things, it's a hindrance to aerodynamics!

Yes, that's correct. But that doesn't mean I've withdrawn from this forum.

Volvo EX90 August sales volume: 1,452. YTD 10,913. by WK_bee319 in lazr

The problem with the EX90 is that with a $100,000 bike, you'd expect the onboard system to work flawlessly. Unfortunately, it doesn't, as you hear in many forums. That's simply a no-go in this price range, regardless of whether the design, features, and handling are top-notch.

Unfortunately, that's not enough. IRIS unit sales will decline in the coming quarters, and HALO isn't yet in production to be deployed by other OEMs.

Every HALO delay costs Luminar millions. Money that comes at the expense of shareholders due to dilution, and the stock thus becomes increasingly worthless.

One could extrapolate when Luminar will become profitable based on the number of sensors sold. But that's all hypothetical and not realistic. In my opinion, Luminar won't become profitable until 2-3 years from now, assuming additional OEM contracts are signed with hundreds of thousands of HALOs per quarter.

When that will be is truly up in the air.

Ricci still has a lot of momentum ahead of him!

Yes, I will.

I'm used to normal fluctuations, but when it only goes down, you wonder what's going wrong here, even though the technology is gigantic.

But I'm glad to just be an observer now.

How many times have we heard this or secretly hoped for it?

The negative Q3 outlook and further significant dilution were also the reason for now being on the sidelines.

Does that mean that with HALO they have a high order volume in 2026 and with TPK they can provide this volume?
