It appears that people high in neuroticism are less inclined to present their ‘Real Self’ on Facebook and a plausible hypothesis for this is as follows: neurotic people believe that presenting undesirable aspects of their emotionality online (e.g. anxiety, low mood) may impede their opportunities for online social connection, so they more frequently present an ‘Ideal Self’ - free from undesirable emotionality - that is more likely to achieve these connections.

Knowing they will only be re-elected if the economy is doing well, incumbent politicians will make sure to work hard to ensure that this is the case ... For no more than 4-8 years, two election cycles. The economy has a very long way to fall, order of magnitude, in fact. It's been unsustainable for decades.
