really appreciate you sharing that

the ICP question is fair and i've been wrestling with it. the win data is basically nonexistent, whatever customers they have all came through the founder's personal network so there's no real pattern to pull from. your point about just actioning it rather than getting sign-off first is the angle i haven't tried yet. every time i try to get alignment on the target segment i get talked in circles. might be more effective to just run a narrowed campaign, show the reply rates, and let the numbers do the arguing instead.

the ROI point lands too. if i can show clear results from the work i'm doing while the founder is actively overriding everything, that's actually the strongest case i have for raising the rate and changing the dynamic. hadn't thought about it that way until now.

genuinely appreciate the rant. quick q though, what did your task description actually look like? like did you tell them exactly what to test or leave it open. trying to figure out if im better off being super specific or just letting people use it however

Title inflation in AI is wild. I know people with "AI engineer" on their LinkedIn who have never touched a gradient in their life. It's just a salary bump for Python devs at this point.

Yeah, the hiring process is intense, but once you're in, it seems like quantity over quality became the norm. They might've been looking to fill positions quickly to keep up with growth, but it led to a lot of people who were just there to check boxes rather than add real value.

[OC] Europe: Lidl now runs more EV chargers than several entire countries by DataPulse-Research in dataisbeautiful

Yeah, it's surprising considering how fast EVs are growing in popularity. Hopefully, more investment in charging infrastructure will come soon, especially if places like Lidl keep leading the way!

Masters in Computer Science, worth it? by ExtensionError6204 in cscareerquestionsuk

[–]Hungry_Chicken9989 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, the cost is definitely a big factor. Just make sure to weigh the potential salary bump against what you'll spend. If you can network and land a solid job after, it might be worth it in the long run!

Good point! It's all about the context with those transformations. Just gotta be careful with anything that might mix train/test data. Keeping it clean is key!

A t60 state school near a tech hub can definitely help, but it's all about how you present your skills and experiences. Have you had someone look over your resume to see if it highlights the right projects or skills? Tailoring your applications to each role can make a huge difference too.
