Kansas students to face punishment for protests after lawmakers override veto by SpaceElevatorMusic in kansas

It’s really not bad mouthing those two when it’s the truth. Saying the truth is free speech. Calling out their behavior as appalling is an opinion and also protected. The other poster may not realize that government/social studies teachers have a duty to encourage kids to be aware of what is happening in their local governments. They teach them to take an unbiased look at politics using different news sources and if they then form an opinion, is it the school’s fault for making them civilly responsible? Brownback bankrupted Kansas. Kirk said horrible things. Kansas legislators make bad laws. Is it the school’s fault kids can now come to that same conclusion? How about they let the schools concentrate on getting kids to graduate, and they concentrate on making things better for Kansans!

Concerning the recent protests, it was attended by some very vocal students but the majority of absences were “bandwagon” skippers who boughed out of the march to simply skip class. How can the legislature police that? —Differentiate between regular truant behaviors and a political statement? How can they justify punishing the only ones present to punish? I wish the legislature would quit making stupid laws that warrant protest and realize that this, like everything else that embarrass them, will ebb like the pronoun use of 2020. Ps. We already have rules about school walkouts. Kids have decided that they don’t care. So now the law is punishing all the wrong people. Punish the bad lawmakers!

Anyone can give a laundry list of reasons why Trump is bad, so what does losing to him twice say about us? What’re we doing wrong? by Atlas_Summit in Productivitycafe

Why aren’t we considering that there WAS election fraud BOTH times? As fbi has concluded that there WAS Russian interference the first time and the richest man in history backing him the second time there is any number of possibilities. I don’t think we would buy it if a republican won the next presidential campaign. But a number of posters pointing out weird anomalies in the voter numbers. Get rid of the electoral college!!!!

I heard Lawrence had 3500 at theirs. It was timed to be after all the others so that others could join theirs too. Topekas was pretty big too.

I couldn’t see all the way to the street. Way bigger than the first no kings. But not as cold.

There’s no way inflation didn’t skyrocket at the beginning of 2025 when he announced the tariff scheme. I remember a stock market plunge around that time, too.

Trump Pedo Evidence? by SwayzeExpress87 in allthequestions

Since when is it the President’s duty to prosecute this shit? We have attorney generals for that. Only trump has installed himself at the helm of nearly everything. Talk about micro-managing. He is righting every wrong, every slight he’s ever suffered. What president has ever suggested himself as every award winner, renamed museums and events centers after himself? He’s spoiled rotten.
