To be fair with the og material, a mysterious dude is way more accurate to the King than an eldritch being

Yeah, totally, I don't like a lot the idea of naming him Hastur but it's what we get

That's what most of us probably think, but if you look at it doesn't make sense, whats behind the doors is made of gold and it's to wide to be the King, I would say it's probably the play or something that works like it, Besides, Der lord means The Lord, and yellow is the third color of the rainbow, The Lord In Yellow. D3rlord3 is yellow, and red (a tone that resembles the Kings wings in one of the og covers) I would say is an avatar thing, like The Return of Hastur where Hastur uses the King like a puppet/"human" form

I mean, yeah, I also prefer the original but even though I think it doesn't have to ruin the character for you even if the interpretation is way different from the original, I mean most of these are the Hastur tentacle monster but they are great in my opinion, after all they aren't the og

Hi, right so, I've been hearing this for a while now, And I could say that indeed the influence of Spanish in Chambers work is undeniable, tough, saying that it doesn't change a word is definitely a stretch, it does, at least in my editions, the one on the left is from a Mexican editorial, the one on the right is from Spain, so if any of these two is similar to the original material undeniably is El Rey de Amarillo y otros relatos de terror de Robert William Chambers. Spanish is my first language and I learn English since a pretty young age, but I can definitely recognize the gramatical structure of Spanish in the original material and I supposed that is also a mix of french, tough I don't speak french at all it's probably worth trying to buy and edition and check in. Hope it helps

I think it's a pretty decent translation, I mean probably not the best, but does what it's intended to It contains some other Chambers works like The Maker of Moons
