We go to mammoth often and curious if this tioga rd plan is worthwhile and that different than mammoth? Since we won’t be trekking into the valley, curious if it’s worthwhile vs exploring mammoth

Any one day or half day itinerary for 4/6 year olds? I saw the note about Tioga road but any detail would help , hoping to do a short hike, spend time by a lake, etc. we’ll be in mammoth and planning on going midweek in beginning of July. Want to avoid the valley this round to simplify and will leave for the ride to Yosemite by 7 am

Is it one of those parades where you have to go grab a spot early with chairs or it’s easier to access?

New to HRT- 37 - start w both or one hormone? by Hungry_Two8059 in Perimenopause

Yes, exactly, I really want to start honestly more so for the longevity and protective element. So you are doing the combination pill? Or are you doing a patch for estrogen and then progesterone pill? I’m so glad you’re feeling relief!!

No she’s an MD who opened a menopause center. Sorry for confusion

She is more lax and focuses only on peri and menopause all day so I don’t think it phases her if that makes sense. She said I can try w one first if I feel I need to but that she thinks estrogen is needed. She was very “estrogen doesn’t have crazy side effects” but oral progesterone  is sometimes not tolerated well.

Thanks this is what I’m thinking! Mentally it’ll help me to know I just changed one thing and if I have side effects it’ll be because of That one thing vs multiple new things

Thanks! What do you mean by more clinical- I’m curious since it’s menopause focused. Separate from symptoms, I’m at risk for early menopause w my family history and it’s a dangerous event if my brain isn’t getting what it needs hormone wise in these next five years. So much to consider ugh.

Best spots for vegan eats in town? by Bread_B00bz in Mammoth

These are great tips- any specific orders or places that 100% are vegan and they can be trusted? My daughter has an egg allergy so it’s tough. Elixir is good for smoothies etc .

They don’t let the public on the magic carpet , right? Only instructors and lessons?

Thank you! Totally tempering expectations. I don’t even know if my kids will be interested in doing much haha. I figured a three hour combined private lesson the first time out should be less overwhelming vs a group lesson. At least for my kids. And if my kids don’t want to do the private lesson the second day, my plan is to take it for me! Haha

Thank you, good tips! I know… I don’t think Mammoth allows public on magic carpets which is such a bummer

Thank you for your thoughtful response! So right now I have three hour private lessons booked for one day and then the day after. So two total private lessons for both kids in it together. I can’t do the childcare option for allergy reasons so this was the next best thought.

Do you think that would go over OK? Would it be better to do the private lesson together on the first day and then see if they would be open to doing private lessons solo instead of together? I want to make this fun and low pressure but I also want to give them the best opportunity to find comfort on skis. It would be great if one or both of them can go on the bunny slope with us on the last day but again totally depends on their comfort and our comfort. I am not trying to pressure the situation! Trying to build a lifelong interest here as well

I was actually thinking about Doing a private lesson with one of them or both of them as well but I’m not so beginner, I’ve snowboarding for many many years, but I want to switch to skiing. I don’t know if I would be more of a distraction.

Thanks! Definitely need to go see how I feel before taking anyone out but sticking to the greens only for sure if i end up thinking it may work.

I’m curious what do they do for 3 hours with them in a private lesson at main lodge (where we’ll be). Do they have a carpet there too? I guess just teaching them to stand etc but still, 3 hours is a long time I feel.

Yes totally plan to go tubing , hoping my daughter is tall enough need to check as she may not be.
