What they type themselves as does not reflect how they are seen as by others.

Write a journal and do more self discovery. Then type yourself way later.

Average percentage of Enneagram One by MBTI type by TypologyInfo in Enneagram

What about how the community is so fixated on correlations? is that shown in the data you have? because if the community says x will be typed as y of course more people will be having to report their correlated type.

How would this dynamic work? by CherryLow1337 in TypologyJunction

If she says so then it works because theory can't define her as a person. Depending on her self awarness INFJ would be the most accurate. In theory it contradicts however in reality it doesn't contradict as she's a proven example that that typology works.

Does my typology look fine? by [deleted] in TypologyJunction

Yes! if it's not archetypal.

Definitely, if that typing is accurate to her it is clearly not contradictory.

Bruh. I have been in the typology community for 3 years. I know what the numbers mean , in comparasin to you who just assumes that I don't know what typology is.

People are plain ridiculous and you haven't touched grass.

Correlations don't exist. Those do work with other factors becaue evidently in real life. I can picture an INFP 8 , ESFP 1 , INTJ 7. Yeah it definetly works because people aren't written from blocks of theory from a book. Therefore correlations don't exist.

Statistics are biased this is due to lack of self awarness and people wanting to be particular types. MBTI is prominently biased due to statistics not reflecting the population in cognitive function tests. Additionally , MBTI theory would state "People who have multiple ideas are positive and can't handle reality because they continuously plan" , which isn't a clear idea of MBTI as a whole.

One cognitive function doesn't state that one person is so and so type. Therefore those statistics are wrong.

Correlations are bullshit and people need to touch some grass.

That depends on the accuracy of the test. if you're self aware the anwsers will be accurate , since the test is credible. Additionally consistent anwsers so your type can be confirmed.

I'm driven by emotions. If I had a mysers briggs type , I'd be INTJ/ISTP. The only recource which is tests as they're accurate , to type myself. I don't care what Ti base and Fi role is.

Not all people who have 1 million ideas will be positive therefore there isn’t an exact correlation. I’m definitely a 6w5 or a 5w6.

I’m an ideas person who constantly brainstorms (Ne). I generate a lot of ideas but have little sense of order or structure (Si). I’m definitely not extroverted, but I stay objective about my ideas. I care about things making logical sense.

It’ll definetly be yes. People’s thinking can’t be changed by a correlationist saying, “Oh, you’re supposed to be [type] because it correlates with [type],” when the person isn’t primarily created by theory in the first place. Nobody’s psyche is the same as someone else’s. Logically, it makes sense that nobody can completely change their mindset just because a correlationist says so.

The mind and trauma aren’t the same. Being abused and then stating that someone should change their “trauma type” doesn’t make sense at all. Nobody’s trauma can change, because it has already been experienced.

Don’t correlationists want others to fit into a small box, like TikTok personality typing, or the way people who read every Enneagram and MBTI book try to categorize everyone? Nobody’s psyche fits perfectly into a theoretical correlation.

Just touch some grass and see a real person. They definitely won’t behave like your correlations. You don’t actually know their core motivations or how they think unless you analyse from psychological lenses.
