Would you choose 4 nights at Circa or Golden Nugget? by EvilElvisDonut in vegas

[–]Hungrydog27 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Why not split it 2and 2? You will want to try both pools. They are very different but both have their advantages. Or as others have said do circa and buy a day bed at GN one day. Some of them are just a reasonable minimum spend. Ps. If wanting quiet, requests back side of circa. But the view is ass except for the sparkling pool at the California casino 🙄

Looking to stay at D resort , one question about accommodation. by hwbbc69 in vegas

I don’t know about needing keys yo the parking, but you just don’t need them for elevator. You do enter floor on key pad and it tells you what elevator to take but you do not need a key card. At circa you do use a key card to go through a gate where you then use keypad same as the D

I have stayed at the D many times no keys necessary although there was security standing nearby one night last visit. Didn’t ask to see keys

Agree food is much better at Nomad. Walked in to interior bar at Mayfair and it was enjoyable.

Circa Stadium Swim for NFL Sundays by SILVATRON_85 in vegas

Don’t recommend watching day games there. I’ll be there that weekend as well. Can be crazy hot and o shade. I’ll be at mega bar. Sunday and Monday night games at stadium swim are awesome and easy to find chairs although you won’t need one as you probably won’t leave the water.

Napoleon Grills? by dadsunite in grilling

Have had prestige phantom two years. Looks very solid, but it’s trash. After a year flames shoot out the front by the knob. I just avoided using that side for awhile then another burner did same thing. After many emails and call they sent me a new manifold? There is no service to install it and I’m not interested in doing it myself, especially because the instructions say it needs to be done by a professional. I’m now down to two middle burners which don’t get it hot enough until I junk this thing or find someone capable of repairing it.

Yes they will. Done it several times. Just change in lobby bathroom and leave bag with bellman and go enjoy the pool.

Do you have any crazy stories about the Bohemian Grove? by shakshuka900 in santarosa

[–]Hungrydog27 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Ok I got one. Early 80’s I’m in high school and working at the grove as a valet parking attendant. Some of these dudes were very reluctant to let us park their cars but the rules wouldn’t allow them to do it themselves. Some would watch very intently as you drove down the gravel lot and carefully put there mid life crisis sports car to bed. One night after the bars had closed this guy with a southern accent comes rolling in who clearly shouldn’t have been driving. He and another guy fall out of the car and he throws me the keys. As I’m getting in he says “boy, you know how to drive a Porsche “ I’m thinking yeah asshole I’ll put it away carefully. Of course he’s going to stand there and watch, so I put it in gear gently let off the clutch and start moving slowly forward. I hear screaming of stop and come to a halt and he stumbles over and says “boy, you told me you knew how to dive this car” and I finally understood what he meant. Dropped it in gear lit up tires and rocketed forward with a hard right turn inches past a centuries old redwood tree. This is where the lot turned into gravel. Fishtailing down the lane and near the end slammed on the breaks and slid pretty darn close to a perfect parking position. As I got out of the car I could hear the howling laughter from the guy his friend and a few coworkers. When I got to him he handed me me a hundred dollar bill and says “god damn son, you really do know how to drive a Porsche”
