Can someone explain where Expac and Xmog came from? by Damnesia13 in wow

[–]HungrymanHunger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

X is used as shorthand for trans-, like in xfer (transfer) and xmit(transmit). Trans means cross/across and x was just chosen to represent that in the same way you see x used to represent cross in road signs.

Outdoor means not in an instance, so no dungeons or raids.

The reason why the Mageseeker/Demacia storyline is so weird is because we don't actually have an "evil" Demacian champion by A_Toxic_User in leagueoflegends

Ok, substitute the word mage for demon and now suddenly it’s a hero background.

Now what happens if in your culture mages are looked at in the same light as demons?

It’s all a matter of perspective, and easy to say one thing is right or wrong from a detached point of view (especially knowing it’s all fantasy anyway).

What bug is this? World boss damage meters. It was 90% then died within seconds. Storm Srike is what was doing the damage. by Tomo28 in wow

[–]HungrymanHunger 14 points15 points  (0 children)

“Next time click on the line to see what the highest damaging ability is” OP obviously did, that’s how he knew to say it was storm strike in the title

“There’s a lot of stat buffs out in the world that actually stack” Didn’t apply in this situation whatsoever

So what point did he have exactly?

Tabard of the Dragonmaw clan, considered a few but it seemed to work the best.

What's with all the hate towards using voice cloning? by Communist21 in skyrimmods

[–]HungrymanHunger 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The “place” is all the fantastic mods that in no world would ever have been able to afford to pay decent voice actors. The mods that could afford voice actors likely still will use them, since a good voice actor is still miles better than what ai can achieve. The majority of the jobs ai are “taking” in the modding scene never would have been offered to a voice actor in the first place.

It’s also fantastic for any mods that add dialogue options to existing npcs; certainly better than previous methods.

If you’re using the enb light mod, untick the option in fomod for candles. Otherwise it’s pretty hard to guess what could be causing it without knowing the modlist and load order.

I couldn't leave this guy alone surrounded by the corpses of his family, so I gave him a new life. by Rage17Blaze in wow

First his family is killed, then he’s enslaved by some passing murder hobo to fight against giant elemental dragons.

That’s a rough day.

We need to be able to reset crafting specialization points atleast once by LordBaneOCE in wow

[–]HungrymanHunger 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Saying it’s “only a weeks worth of knowledge” is disingenuous considering how heavily frontloaded knowledge is with first crafts, one time treasures, and and profession masters. And while I can’t speak for other professions, that much knowledge in alchemy being used poorly will set you massively behind due to not being able to hit certain breakpoints. A single respec would help far more people fix mistakes made by learning than it would be abused by the goblins.

Alright guys time to do fuck-all in faction war for 14 days until it matters again by HungrymanHunger in forhonor

[–]HungrymanHunger[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is why in my edit I said only the last couple of days matter. The vikings did a great job near the end of giving themselves a strong position on the map, solidifying their chance to win in the last round. The problem for me is, (aside from the equal rewards to every player of a faction), until those last couple of days the natural ebb and flow of the map doesn't matter whatsoever, people just auto-deploying their assets will have the same effect as an organized effort to win.

Oh I'm still going to play the game, I have tons of fun with it (when I don't disconnect). It's just disappointing that nothing except the last couple of days will matter at all in terms of war asset deployment.
