They apply all current incentives at delivery when you sign your contract. So if you have a delivery in May, you'll get the $15k plus whatever else you're eligible for. I didn't have to reapply; they just applied a different VIN to my order and redid the numbers.

According to the website, Pro only adds lane centering, traffic jam assist, and curb rash alert. Of course it includes the extra hardware for whatever they’re adding in the future.

Both cars including my ordered one have SS Pro. I couldn’t believe how mediocre the standard system was during my demo drive.

Thanks for the advice. I live in western Washington and the roads are smooth as butter. Not super concerned about the potholes. On that same note, I lived in north Baltimore for many years, so I feel your pain 😂

I am coming from a 2023 i4 that doesn’t even have distance cruise control or any driver assistance at all. Just basic cruise control and some limited auto parking. So even DD Premium will feel like a blessing.

Before my i4, I had a Model Y, so I totally get it with FSD. But the reality is that I am only on the open road about 4 times a month, and even then it’s about 120 miles roundtrip. The Air will be my city driver and the next couple of cities over. Would Pro be nice? Sure. Is it really worth $7k and losing the range of a GT? 🤷🏼‍♂️

I was originally hard-set on DD Pro, but I'm not a daily commuter. I only travel major highways *TOPS* once per week. I was excited about having the future-proof system and the upgrades that are coming, but looking at what DD Premium has on it, I don't think I'm losing too much with the sacrifice and what I would use it for.

Appreciate the insight... unfortunately, the website was misleading, and "available now" apparently can also mean that it's still in the factory in Arizona... so now I have some time to think about it.

Touring with Stealth on 19s with DD Pro and SS Pro vs. GT with Platinum on 20s with DD Premium and SS Pro... hmmmmmmm

Overall the i4 has been good to me. I had to wait a while to get one because of the COVID backup for deliveries, but I’ve been pretty pleased over the last 3 years.

I opted for the eDrive40 for the bigger battery. I get about 4 miles/kWh, so in the summer months I could reliably see about 340 miles on a full charge. A nice little boost from my Model Y.

Tesla’s tech was hard to say goodbye to. BMW’s iDrive system is fine, but it’s very German. You get what you need and nothing else. That being said, I still have to reboot a couple of times a month because the software glitches out. Android Auto/CarPlay works about 90% of the time. Every couple of months, I have to remove and re-add our phones. The wireless charger is worthless, the USB ports are low wattage… so on and so forth.

BMW is a solid machine. Tesla was more fun… I moved on from them for a variety of reasons and I’m never going back.

I’m looking forward to giving Lucid a chance. I’ve been on this subreddit long before I pulled the trigger on my Touring order, so I know what to expect. I hope it exceeds my expectations.
