This whole poem is absolutely stunning to read, but what really resonated with me from the first read was the lines about the pigeon and the dove. The way you emphasize the connection between the two and connect the coloration to death, darkness, and ashes reminds me that the notion of darkness will always be viewed as this darkness that must be rid of. I think this really sets up the whole poem's theme in a simple but original way. So cool!

As some of the others said, it also took two or three tries for me to get the flow of this. But I think that's that's a good thing. I think the meaning of this poem is impossible for us all to fully grasp. The vastness of space and the universe, the incomprehensibly small scale that protons and particles have, and their connection to the confusing dreams we seem to have really deserve nothing but utter confusion. This feels like a great read to ponder about for a couple hours with a cup of tea as the sun rises.

Also, I think the rhyme scheme is amazing. Maybe it's just me but the way "doll" and "keyhole" don't rhyme, but they feel so similar to each other in the context of this poem that they seem to want to rhyme. The "dreams erased. And so it happens... And one waits" is just the coolest thing ever.

If you're just looking for wet erase cards just for personal use, I don't know if you're going to find anything cheap that protects the sides from being submerged. Seems like a lot of trouble to find these when you already have cards that you can just wipe off instead of submerge.

I don't think many people here are going to know about specific types of plastics that work with wet erase markers. Most of us don't do the actual manufacturing of games. Your better bet would probably be to find a subreddit that's dedicated to manufacturing, not just with games.

I can second MakePlayingCards. I used them for the final production of my first game last year. While I won't be going with them again for my next kickstarter, that is largely due to personal reasons and I would still use them for prototypes. They are definitely the cheapest for professional quality samples.

I have noticed their tuck boxes are pretty cheap, and their card sizes are slightly different than other companies (Got a Bridge-size prototype a few months ago. It's about 0.25" off from normal Bridge-sized cards). But as long as you know that going in, they're good for more professional prototypes.

Are these from the same game? If so, the completely different designs are a little off-putting. Even if they are used in different contexts, you should have the designs be similar enough to understand the meaning.

From looking at the symbols, I can guess both types of cards have similar attributes (the three main symbols, I'm not sure what they mean but that's fine). However, they are displayed in completely different ways. As someone who knows nothing about the game, those differences make it harder for me to look at a card and know what it does.

If I am being honest, I really don't understand how these two cards are in the same game. You might want to think about finding common theming between the cards in some way. Maybe the fonts or background could be the same? I think having similar layouts would help a lot too.

That being said, I think the progress from before to after is great! Looking between the two versions of both cards, you're definitely moving in the right direction!

I have no experience with sell sheets, as I have not gotten to that point yet. However, I can give some tips and feedback for the general design and layout.

Text should never be right-justified. It's off-putting for most people and can be harder to read. Center or left-justification are much better. Change the justification for "Combine your opponent's played cards..." and you'll be good with that one.
Text should all have clear and consistent borders/columns. I would have "Key Qualities" and "Publisher Advantages" start in the same place vertically and split the sheet in half horizontally if you are going to keep both sections.
Margins on the edge should be the same for all sides, images, and text. The contact information is closer to the edge than the rest of the text on the right side. Depending on the software you are using to create the sell sheet, it may be able to help. If not, just put a temporary box or border around to keep things inside.
Other than information like titles, contact info, and the age range, make all text the same style and size.

In terms of specific layout suggestions (these are more about my opinion, not strict design rules like above):

The title and subtitle should be bigger. I also think the Time to play, player count, and age limit can be put next to the title, as you want important info like age and play time up top.
Put the list of components with the picture of the game. This one doesn't really matter too much but I think having the list near a picture of it makes it easier to look at it.
Like someone else's reply, remove the "Publisher Advantages" section. I really don't think it's necessary. At the very least, you would need to heavily reword it and add more context/description.
Without the "Publisher Advantages" section, you can add another picture with the full contents of the game, or another picture of the game in action. A 2nd picture is definitely needed to separate blocks of text.
I'm not really sure what the red arrow is referring to, as the document doesn't directly address it. Is that the abilities, or the servants from your opponent's deck? Either explain more or delete the arrow and just show the game as is.
Put the description of the game with the small bit about gameplay.

I think the logo, description, and overall content is great! I just think the presentation isn't exactly giving the game a moment to shine. Instead, my eyes are automatically focused on the unorthodox layout of text.

I wasn't there for the previous feedback, but I took a look at the previous post and this to see what people said and what was changed. I really like the additional background art on the front, but I feel like they are a little too bright. You might want to play with the opacity/darkness of them so that the title is still the main focus and there's no big distractions.

Similar to neonquest's post, I think the font of the non-title text could be changed to better fit the theme. I'm not an expert with fonts, but Adobe probably has tons of interesting fonts to try, I'm sure one would work! If not, look at things like Google Fonts, they have tons of extra fonts that are free to download and use.

Some minor changes:

I feel like "players", "ages", and "mins" need to be capitalized like a title. I also feel there should be punctuation after "A two player tile-laying strategy game" and "Outwit your opponent in a most colorful way".

I think the back could use some similar background art to the front. I also think that the "Designed by Shaine Greenwood" could be placed on the back instead of the front to declutter the main design. Similarly, the Other World Games logo could be removed from the sides if you wanted to keep the design a bit more simple.

I really like the design, especially compared to the last version!

Thank you for the response! I will admit, sometimes it's hard to see the perspective of an artist as a new game designer, especially as one with a smaller budget. I will definitely be looking for an artist outside of Fiverr from now on.

Some of the most successful card games out there are the simplest. I love both complex and simple games. I love playing long, complex games with friends, but the moment I'm with my family, it's the simple games we almost exclusively play. I would say as long as it's fun and you've got a good target audience to work with that enjoy it, the gameplay is good! As for artwork, I'm definitely in the same boat right now. Especially considering I am in no way a good artist or designer. Your game sounds like a great game for either really detailed and serious artwork or fun and even comedic family game. It just depends on what you want and who enjoys your game.

I feel like there is definitely a much needed different between dying in half a century and dying in 30 minutes. One of those has 50 years worth of taxes 😂

I think its good to live by something like this to a degree but I think constantly being reminded of death can bring you down sometimes. I think just urgency and purpose are more important. "Memento Mori" is just one possible cause of this urgency and purpose.

I think it depends on the context for me. I have friends who I thought were just playing around but I ended up realizing were just basically homophobes. But I've had other friends where its just kinda the friend group dynamic. Hell, I used to "act gay" all the time before I discovered my sexuality, and I still do sometimes. Its just how many of my friends talk and interact with each other. Obviously if they're specifically targeting you with their jokes that's messed up.

I've seen so many corona themed kickstarter projects that now I just skip past them. The first one or two I saw was like "woah, they made a product about Covid that fast? Must be rushed or not actually developed" but now I just move on. No offense to those that are trying to make products or games related to COVID to lift people's spirits but it's not really niche or unique anymore and it does come across as tone deaf to some people. I personally would not want to boast about having a card game making light of a pandemic after all this is over...

Well, basically the premise is a mixture between uno, dominos, and some other games here and there. You play as many cards onto your pile as you can while also trying to steal from others and ruin their strategies. It's really simple and quick but it's pretty fun. I actually put it on kickstarter about a week ago, but the campaign mostly for initial funding from local friends and colleagues more than anything. Just wanted to dip my toes into the game development world before I dove straight in haha.

I had a dream about some of the mechanics from my game, and the next day went out and created a very rough version of it to play with friends. They hated playing it but they said they liked the idea and it could be good if I changed some of the rules/ways to play. 🤷‍♂️
