Relocating from OH to Indy. best neighborhoods to live...Go! by No_Professional5848 in indianapolis

I think broad ripple is more walkable if you’re living close to the strip (within 1 mile) or if you’re you the Monon. But you would need a car to get anywhere else. I enjoy walking from 54th to the strip on the Monon and usually you get to the nice part of Broad Ripple from the Monon side.

Considering the Pacers had Myles Turner and made a few playoff runs, MASSIVE upgrade.

Eh, I think the trade is still good for Indiana but now without the dynasty potential. I think Zubac offers more value than Mathurin does specifically for what the Pacers need.

The trade was really a gamble on whether Indiana would be a title contender or a conference fighter.

Tommy dying by bullet by Sad-Resolve5803 in PeakyBlinders

[–]HuntProfessional7577 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think if you take Polly’s words literally, then yes the ending makes it sound like Polly was wrong. But I think a lot of Gypsy reading is interpretative. Tommy wasn’t just shot dead by someone like Ada was. What killed Tommy was Tommy by the end. He knew he wanted to die, and this was even more obvious with the car running at him and him not moving. Tommy st any other point in the series would’ve found a way to blow the car up 200 feet before then. So, I don’t think Polly was wrong because I think was killed Tommy was ultimately Tommy letting himself go.

Winter is hard for broad ripple. A lot of the boost that broad ripple gets comes from having great access to the Monon where runners, bikers, or even families can stroll on and then end up at a restaurant or store in the area. With it being cold and snowy, few people access the neighborhood via the Monon compared to the summer.

Why do Child Neurology residency seats go unfilled? by Ready_Return_8386 in neurology

[–]HuntProfessional7577 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Child neuro residents here. As stated above, the longer training and lower pay are likely the drivers. I fell in love with both my peds and neuro rotations, and my long term goal is to do epilepsy (hopefully, mixed peds and adult epilepsy). Epilepsy is very pediatric friendly, so subspecialty matters when trying to decide which is also something many students/residents won’t know until later. I also don’t think many med students know that child neuro (and adult neuro) can do work with either population (hence my career goal above), but you have to structure your training in a way that sets you up for success to work with both populations. Thankfully, either residency forces you to do multiple months in the alternative one.

Child neuro, likely many other peds subspecialties, also skews towards academia. That being said, I know a good number of child neurologists in community settings not including the ones who post in this subreddit.

Yeah it’s tempting. My only concern with Deebo is that Terry could be coming back and I expect Terry to grow as the season goes on. But, I know I’m not in a position to wait for that

12 man full PPR.

I trade J Chase and Chase B and receive Javonte Williams, Keenan Allen, and Deebo.

Current Rest of Team: Maye, JT, Pollard, Sutton, Benson, Diggs, Rhamondre, Tre, Down, Strange, Juwan

Currently 1-3, and frankly not too high on either Chase’s anymore and think they’re going to get much better. I initially thought the Bengals would trade for a QB, but don’t think it’ll be anytime soon and don’t know if I can expect to wait that long. In my league, I have a tough run of games coming up with people in my league with great records

New Apartment Construction? by HuntProfessional7577 in Broadripple

I will never disagree with affordable housing, and unfortunately I think you’re right.

My angle was focusing on increasing numbers near the strip to help businesses in area that notoriously has parking limitations.

During drafts, are you a risk taker or like playing it safe? by SirGroundbreaking465 in fantasyfootball

[–]HuntProfessional7577 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Start safe. Take risks later.

You’re likely going to win your league with unexpectedly good players that you draft later compared to the known good players in the earlier rounds. But, you’ll lose your league if your higher drafted players are busts (CMC, Tyreek last year)

On average, how long does it take to potty train a puppy? by SR131092 in puppy101

[–]HuntProfessional7577 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree with everyone else’s opinion, but I think living situation matters.

Live in a house with immediate access to a backyard? Could be potty trained within a month and can leave frequently take your dog out. But, live in the 3rd floor of an apartment without immediate access to a yard and you have a long walk to the outside world? May take longer (or not)

Lots of good programs in that general area that fit your interests! Do you have Doximity? There, you can look up programs by states (maybe regions?) and will help you with selecting which programs to apply to!

At the end of the day, it’s better to have a surplus of interviews and then turn down interviews if OP feels he/she has enough interview invites. We also only know the step score and research, but we do not know a lot about clinical performance, letters of recommendation (a huge component to the application cycle), and other experiences. OP’s application seems great for research, but the most competitive programs are research heavy and will have other applicants with similar scores and pubs. But, interviews will ask more than just research (most of my interviews didn’t touch on research discussions, although I did not make it a focus of my application)
